Gender Detector?
 

This site claims to be able to tell the difference between a man and woman just from how they type. It seems pretty inaccurate. I think some of the things that are calculated as a feminine trait are probably unisex because I keep getting female as an answer even when I paste in mens' typing.

Yeah no matter what i was typing in that box i was getting Female as the response.

according to the popup window, the algorithm is correct 49.97% of the time. now, lets see, it has a 50% chance of being correct on any given subject (ignoring hermaphrodites as statistically insignificant). and low and behold, its accuracy is almost exactly 50%.

I have an algorithm that can improve on this by 0.03%.

Looks like the professor got his Phd throught he mail or from a cracker jack box. I can change the results by using key words and sentence length.

Just think about what the opposite sex usually types about in ICQ or MSN and voila! Instant gender change.

p.s. talking about cars or saying boobies a lot has nothing to do with it.

That's a load of crap. It kept saying I was female, and the way I write is so ugly and malformed there's no way a woman would write like that.

if you look at the stats, it shows 50/50 accuracy.

This thing is buggered. I typed in "I like to fuck women" and it said i was female! What a crock of shit!

It says on there that, "According to Koppel and Argamon, the algorithm should predict the gender of the author approximately 80% of the time."

Obviously something went awry.

i guess it wants proper sentence structure. fuck that.

If you'll notice, it actually measures based on words used like "it" and "the." So saying words you would normally associate with a gender (trucks or makeup) have nothing to do with this gender detector.
