When my son was small he would sing along to the Nitty Gritty Dirt band song "Cadillac Ranch" and we would laugh our asses off when he would be "cruisin' down the highway like a pickled dinosaur" instead of a "big old dinosaur".

in that Spice Girl song, wannabe, i used to think that they sang, ¨sell your body now, theres money all around...¨... but apparently thats not the official line.

I also like the Alanis Morrisette song "You Otta Know" with "the cross-eyed bear that you gave to me" instead of "the cross I bear..."

When I was but a wee tyke, a favorite of mine was Paul Simon's "Kodachrome". Being only about 4 or 5, I had no clue what a Kodachrome was nor did I know the name of the song. Alas, I would happily sing, "Mama don't take my pocket comb away from me."

The first time I ever heard of Marilyn Mason was at a Nine Inch Nails concert. They played "Cake and Sodomy" which was pretty catchy, the lines " White trash get down on your knees, time for cake and sodomy"

After all the noise and intoxicants, the next day i had the song stuck in my head: "Death Ray Jelly bean R&B, talk like Raymond Bradbury"
