What burger floats your boat?

Although kupo nuts are my peak fancy, I do occasionally crave a good hamburger. I often draw blank stares from my fellow moogle cousins, but they have as of yet to explore the wonders of the burger.

Burgers that I do enjoy:
-Wendy's triple classic, biggie sized, with "everything" on it
-Hardrock Café's bacon cheese hamburger with a side of fries
-Clock's bacon cheese burger

I do have an appreciation for most burgers of almost any sort, but only those three top my list. What burgers top your list?

Any burger with the "works".
I prefer to make my own but many aussie corner shops make some classics.
Don't usually go for "Burger King" or similar.

My idea of the perfect burger:
  • 8-12 oz (250-375 g) pre-cooked weight of beef, iron-skillet seared to medium
  • Bun (crown and base, NO SESAME SEEDS) of size to hold the cooked beef patty
  • one leaf iceberg, slightly smaller in size than the patty
  • one slice beefeater tomato, about 3/8 inch (10 mm) thick and slightly smaller in diameter than the patty
  • one slice sweet red onion, about 1/4 inch (6 mm) thick and slightly smaller in diameter than the patty
  • 1 oz (30 mL) Heinz 57 sauce, applied to flat side of bun crown

Hail Stiltzkin, et al!

I believe the ideal quantity of meat on a burger for me is a 3/4-pound patty. I vary in choice of cooking time betwixt medium and medium rare. The rest of the ingredients are subjective choices of the eater, sometimes made for reasons of a very personal nature. I, however, enjoy them all without prejudice. Pablano peppers leap to mind as particularly delightful.

Wendy's makes a surprisingly good burger. It shouldn't be true but it is. Their lighting fast drive through service is impressive, as well. I am not too proud to go there when I simply must find sustenance and quickly. They have saved my life and quite possibly the lives of others.

Bacon and cheese go well with everything that exists.

Anything from Fuddrucker's. A 1/2 pound Southwest burger cooked medium rare is a particular favorite of mine, but any of them kick ass.

Used to be a McDonald's fiend, until they changed their ketchup. No one else notices, but it tasted sweeter to me, and not for the better. I like most other burgers, though Red Robin's and White Spot come to mind as having good burgers.

mcdonalds sucks donkey balls... if i want fast food I go to carl's jr, In-n-out, Willie's or Ford's (the last two are local joints, great shakes and fries, decent burgers).

Some of the best burgers I've eaten I've made myself when I worked in restaurant kitchens. 3/4 lb patty, grilled bun, thousand island (sorry but it's good), lettuce onions and tomatoes. Japanese white pepper and salt sprinkled over the tomatoes makes it soo damn good.

Are Wendy's the square ones? Good stuff. I haven't bought better than a double from Ed's in London; but freshly-ground, home-made with worcester sauce, gruyere, and jalapenos is unbeatable!

Depends on the mood. Sometimes a White Castle sack of ten is the only food that will hit the spot. Other times, Bates burgers. There's a deli in Farmington named "Sammy's" that make great, huge burgers (love 'em with cheese, lettuce, tomato and pickle! don't need ketchup or mustard... they're that good!)

I take ground sirloin. add a raw egg, Italian flavored bread crumbs, A-1 sauce and garlic salt. Make large (at least 1/2 lb) patties and grill over charcoal--- no gas or propane. Serve on an onion roll (or Kaiser roll if onion rolls are scarce) with carmelized Valencia onion, thick-sliced Beefsteak tomato, some grilled sweet peppers (green, yellow and red) on the side. An ice-cold Killians or Amber Bock goes real well with this picnic.

i like the Wendy's classic triple, but it tends to fall apart a bit too easily. it needs a larger, thicker bun.

That's exactly what my fellow moogles always tell me, and yet they watch in amazement as I eat my burger without dropping a single bit.

Here's the technique: work around the edges, make sure to try to keep it the same radius through-and-through the whole time you eat it. In so doing, your burger is always balanced and won't have the tendency to fall apart. Burger-eating is a fine art not many have yet mastered. Please take your time and do be patient.

The restaurant my girlfriend works at sells one called Death By Burger... I wanna try it some time but I think it'd be a waste of money coz it's too big for me to eat.

I don't really have a favourite burger though, but anything from MacDonalds is shite.
