Which toe is longer
 

I think that this question is long overdue.
Is your first toe (thumb toe) or second toe (index toe?) longer?

Personaly, I am normal and my first toe is the longest so I am not going to mention that I think any one whose second to is longer than their first toe is a freak because I don't want it to skew this scientific survey.

I too have Plummiesque toes although I'm sure hers are prettier.

<b>SiN</b>, I am so glad you are not a toe freak. I am still pulling for <b>Plummie</b> to measure with a more precise ruler and find out that her first toe is actually longer than her second toe.

<b>Bones</b>, If you know what a foot is, a toe is one of those bendy things that sticks out of the end of your foot which you have the ability to control with your mind.

Second toe of left foot is longer.
Thumb toe of right foot is longer.

I could be a half-mutant, but my feet measure 10.5 EEEEE (US measurements and yes, that's 5 E's).

I'm definitely full mutant.

My second toe is longer. I read somewhere that it's a throwback to our prehistoric ancestors. Longer second toes belonged to more nomadic tribes and indicated an inborn endurance in running and walking and such.

It fits for me, I ran Cross Country and the long distances in track while I was in HS.

i always figured everyone had their toes in order of height. starting with the longest, the thumb toe.
when i saw this thread, i actually checked my own foot just incase i was being ignorant. but no, my thumb toe is longer than the rest.

They're the same length on the left foot but the second one wins on the right foot.

It's common knowledge that people with a second toe that's longer than their thumb toe fit in pointy shoes better! We also suffer more stubbed toes.

We are excellent lovers and can hold our liqour.

Left foot - Thumb toe is definitely longer by a hair.

Right foot - Index toe looks to be at least even.

Weird. So much for biological symmetry.
