Kansas flatter than pancake
CNN reports that Kansas has been determined to be flatter than a pancake.
haha, sad they spend money on that.
"While driving across the American Midwest, it is common to hear travelers remark, 'This state is as flat as a pancake,'" they wrote in their report, published in the Annals of Improbable Research.
Interesting that the authors chose to quote random travelers. It goes to show that noone really knows anyone who actually lives in Kansas. |

I think a few years ago they used similar technology to determine that the Earth is smoother than a cueball, even with all the mountains.

I wouldn't be surprised. Consider the size of the mountains versus the size of the planet.

That may be the most pointless study in the history of studies. Ever. By Far.
Would you do a study on that and get back to us? :D
I'm still waiting for the Kansas tree survey. Last I heard they had found 42 so far.

I work in Kansas and let me tell you... sure, it's flat as fuck and on the interstates it is one long drive to Colorado. But you get off the main roads and for the likes of Bones and Rockogre there are some beautiful 2 lanes that wind you through the country side on yer motor sickle.
yes....interstates flat. yes.....western kansas.....flat. but the eastern quarter of the state has the flint hills which makes for some goodtimes and crazy driving. but leave the eastern quarter of the state and its good bye civilization.
I've been driving through there and your right -- it is flatter than a pancake!
