Favorite Writing Utensil

Got a random idea for a quiz the other day and I figured I'd see what the results were...

I voted mechanical pencil

KWSN 07-14-2003 06:23 AM

What about crayons!?!?!?!?!

Jeez, you messed THAT one up.

SecretMethod70 07-14-2003 06:29 AM

I'm talking about NORMAL writing utensils. As in for taking notes, writing letters, etc.

absorbentishe 07-14-2003 06:29 AM

I was hoping for urine? Peeing your name in the snow?

Gortexfogg 07-14-2003 06:40 AM

I prefer pens that really write dark and inky. The more it bleeds (in most cases), the better.

KWSN 07-14-2003 06:53 AM

Crayons ARE normal writing utensils. To me.

(in all seriousness, I like gel-ink pens like Ions and Uni-Balls, sometimes Pilots.)

tikki 07-14-2003 08:09 AM

Pentel Techniclik 2 .5mm lead. I won't use anything else.

aus5tin 07-14-2003 09:55 AM

i got wooden pencil....
but the truth is that my favorite is hot iron on skin.

Love the Bic pens.

SiN 07-14-2003 10:23 AM

Mechanical Pencil is what i use most often, for schoolwork and stuff.

i also like a good ballpoint, but i'm damn picky.

black ink, the Pilot Dr. Grip ones are fukkin awesome.
Pilot pens in general are good tho.

Same here. I only like using Pilots for school work. Except for math, for that I use a wooden pencil.

This is my favorite pen......

I tried those gell pens but I'm a south paw, the ink dosen't dry fast enough and I end up with ink on my hands.

putzy 07-14-2003 01:02 PM

id have to say a regular bic ball point pen, you know the ones that cost about 10 cents. The flow is just perfect.

Giant Hamburger 07-14-2003 01:25 PM

Hail Scriveners!

Since I can never find a pen or pencil when I need one I write the way my dark, inscrutable gods intended for me to write.
In human blood...

Sometimes I'll substitute animal blood for works of lesser importance like grocery lists, things to do, etc.

I use this keyboard most of the time. I use the net to pay bills and write letters. I guess its been a long time since i used a pen or pencil.

grumpyolddude 07-14-2003 07:44 PM

Gotta be a Parker, black, medium. For cheaps, bic clics are ok, jumbos, too.

bundy 07-14-2003 08:41 PM

BICS
go blue BICS

Baricua2782 07-14-2003 09:18 PM

i just write so much neater with a mechanical pencil ... but only the yellow ones with the screw bottom if ya know what I mean.

hambone 07-14-2003 09:23 PM

mechanical pencil definitely. I seriously can't write with a regular one anymore and I screw up too much to use a pen

Meridae'n 07-14-2003 09:23 PM

Pencil, i fuck spelling up too often for a pen, and mechanical pencils have been banned here in Aust for 2-3 years...

crackpot 07-14-2003 09:24 PM

Same page as grumpyolddude here; Parker, black, medium. The ones with the brass (or brassy metal) inside the top half, rather than plastic. Juuuuust the right weight.

Macheath 07-14-2003 11:32 PM

The Parker stainless steel ballpoint I found in the college computer labs a while back. Smooth, sleek, nice weight.

I write with one of these:

I can only write on hard surfaces such as wooden desks though.

Entirely. Those are my favorite as well - the slack for the lead makes it a lot more resistant to breaking and I find it gives a smooth feel when I write.

Mechanical pencils banned in Aust.? Pray tell me why.

Macheath 07-15-2003 12:37 AM

btw, MrFlux - best.knife.ever.

I inherited one of those babies from a WWI veteran.

nash 07-15-2003 05:22 AM

It's a tie between mechanical pencil and the Pilot Hi-Tec C 0.3mm pen for me. It's a 0.3mm pen, thinner than my pencil and doesn't bleed or spread on paper. Great for doodling or stabbing people.

Can't see it too well here though.

cchris 07-15-2003 05:55 AM

I'm just glad someone else prefers crayons.

platypus 07-15-2003 06:09 AM

Hmmm. Must be gettin' old. I still write with chalk.

tikki 07-15-2003 06:11 AM

now that I think about it, a sharpie could be a close second for me. Nice big blocks of writing. :)

crow_daw 07-15-2003 12:58 PM

Gotta have those black gel bitches.

rat 07-15-2003 01:03 PM

straight ballpoint pen

Mr Scorcex 07-15-2003 06:31 PM

Erasermates, those erasable pens that actually work. Not good ink, but I hate pencils and make a lot of mistakes, so it works.
