Snowmoners
 

As a result of the big blizzard that is currently enveloping most of the mid-Atlantic in a nice death-freeze of a white falling blanket, I look forward to the day after tomorrow of this event, where a newfound army will rise up: a wave propagation of 'snowmoners', with me as their leader, naturally.

** note: "snowmoners" is a word I have devised, coined, and will continue to utilize as a blanket definition for any snow structure that has been created and rendered sentient.

This is a few minutes ago from my 3rd floor lookout tower where I have a snow-gattling-machine gun ready to blow away any army of snow men that might be attacking my house. Peace.

what's the best way you, personally, would estimate the snowfall on the ground? I think a good measuring stick, is exactly what is pictured above: snowfall on the roof an automobile I would think better reflects the total number of "inches" that those overpaid weather forecasters tell us have destroyed our day thus far. There's too much surface area on "walking ground" that it has a chance to settle, or be disturbed by moving people.

We battled them with our most advanced snow shovels and snow blowers and they've retreated to regroup and prepare for the next onslaught. Our scouts tell us they're coming again on Wednesday so we'll be ready for them. I'm trying to acquire a flame thrower. Peace, and have a great hair day.

These 'snowmoners' are fiendish creatures, able to shape-shift on a moment's notice and effectively cooast through the grand sheet of white to sneak up on you, unexpectedly. We need all the help we can get.

They can take the form of a deranged foreign girl with giant pigtails:

And so, on that fateful day, it had begun: They caused us to turn against each other, en masse... Oh! the horror.

2,000 join in snowball fight at Dupont Circle in D.C.

The Dupont Circle battle began with the burst of an air horn, then snowballs began raining in every direction. Hundreds watched from the perimeter of the circle, standing on park benches and snapping pictures with their phones. Others coordinated mass launches of snowballs toward the circle's fountain, which a thick mass of people seemed to be trying to defend. People shrieked, bellowed, ducked, ran and laughed -- a lot.

"We're running out of snow!" yelled one young combatant. "Impossible!" cried another. As if to prove it, he jumped up and grabbed a tree limb, causing a fresh supply of ammunition to fall to the ground.

Nick and Anna Berte of Bel Air, Maryland built a giant snowman
and rigged it with a flamethrower inside! Link

it worked!!! We sent a letter to Washington DC advising the administration that we are being attacked by "terrorist" snowmoners...so far they sent us $2 billion in military aid.

Besides paying for breakfast this morning, so far we are equipping our troops with flame throwers.

Informative:
Sato Land is a winter playground just outside Sapporo (Japan). A kid's delight, and a tourist destination for those wanting to try winter sports. Visitors were allowed to build their very own snowmen and include it in the massive display.
