My older son, who's just barely a teen, still has "a thing" for stuffed animals but he's on the verge of diverting his attention to girls any day now.

I've actually been meaning to pick up bags of stuffed animals from my Mom's. They're from when I was a kid. I really really want my Gizmo and Monchichis.

I wonder if they also make some kids feel secure. My younger son, 15mo younger than the old guy, has a life-sized golden retriever stuffed animal in his room; and he takes great pains to make sure it is facing a certain way, looking toward the door of his room; in my son's head it would scare away a BadGuy. I know the first few times I walked in there it startled me since it looks so real!

These are already on my kids' Christmas list. My son wants the cow and my daughter wants the bunny. :)

I think they're a great idea. Machine washable and all. I'm sure they get flat pretty quickly but they can still act as a teddy bear when it's nap time or whatever. And the price can't be beat.

And yeah, the cow is cute lol.
