wooÐs 07-30-2009 02:06 AM

I've yet to sleep and it's 6AM. Was in the ER last night for this chronic crap I have going on. But I did nail some percosets for my crippling abdominal agony so I'm certain I'll be bantering a good bit online today. Posting new threads, etc. I get very e-social when I'm on pain meds :o.

So yeah.

CinnamonGirl 07-30-2009 02:08 AM

Nothing! I've done absolutely nothing productive all day.

DID drink a whole bottle of Kahlua, which I will need to replace. I would feel better about this if I was actually drunk, but I'm not. Bleah.

uncle phil 08-01-2009 05:40 PM

crashed my best friend's from high school's family reunion...what a blast...

Ourcrazymodern? 08-01-2009 05:56 PM

I drove through Wisconsin, had significant pleasure, & went out to eat some more.

(ring says hi.)

wooÐs 08-01-2009 06:37 PM

Worked some.
Also received all my stuff I ordered online through the week. It was freakin' Christmas.
I'm such a woman ffs.

Ladies - this is a fantastic push up bra. First one ever, where I can bend over and when I stand up straight, I don't have to tuck them back in. A little weird with the bag of air but you can remove it. Just thought I'd let y'all know.

dlish 08-02-2009 01:45 AM

caught up with a friend i havent seen in 6 years

The_Jazz 08-02-2009 10:51 AM

Went out for coffee, hung some extra hooks in a closet, took the boys to the beach.

Tophat665 08-02-2009 11:06 AM

Had my best friend over for Tea and sugar cookies (he's on antibiotics) at 10:00PM to watch the Magnificent 7 (until about 1:30). Stayed up til 5 AM alternately Pr0nsurfing, reading Keegan's history of warfare, and updating my aquarium logs.

Ourcrazymodern? 08-02-2009 12:11 PM

Breakfast, sex, lunch.

This day is not done yet.

noodle 08-02-2009 12:21 PM

...bought $160 worth of flowering plants and now i have to plant them...what was i thinking?!??

...actually, i'm very excited about them...especially the 6 white Luna Hibiscus!
Wow...i just measured one of the blossoms and it's 7 1/2" in diameter!
They are much bigger than regular Hibiscus flowers...HUGE.

...i'll probably plant 4 together and one off by itself....and give one away as a gift.

:rose:

uncle phil 08-02-2009 01:08 PM

took my wife to brunch with a bunch of old HS friends

genuinegirly 08-02-2009 01:08 PM

LordEden 08-02-2009 01:58 PM

Washes dishes, cleaned kitchen, cleaned bathroom.
Made food and downloaded Final Fantasy X.
Now it's shower time so I can go get a sandwich and some beer.

mixedmedia 08-02-2009 02:51 PM

Today we drove a little around Ft. Myers and I have concluded that it is a completely charming town...the old parts, that is. Then we drove back to Naples the long way down Highway 41. It reminded me of road trips with my grandfather when I was little. Lots of 'old Florida.' I fell asleep a little. It was nice.

Blue Fish 08-03-2009 02:57 AM

Church (gasp!!)
mowed the lawn
went to a baseball game
could not sleep
played on the computer

Oh yea, wondered what the hell is happening with the weather in NJ this year. I had the houses of both my sister and brother-in law get bad damaged
by lighting and wind. Seriously, entire trees through the side of a house and lighting that blew the entire electric out of a house. That was not actually today but I am still helping them with it. Any any one else get wrecked with the NJ/PA/NY storms?

Ourcrazymodern? 08-03-2009 09:22 AM

Church, in a manner of speaking.
Laid in supplies.
Just past midday, we're going swimming.
I hope the lake isn't too big or green.

uncle phil 08-03-2009 12:17 PM

got 18 holes of golf in...

mowed some lawn...

Well I just learned this AM that my Dad's having a quadruple bypass Monday.

No... yeah you're right. Butt cams top that even.

wooÐs 08-17-2009 02:08 AM

I did very little yesterday. Spent some time online doing some bidness and such. Also researched a bit on how to make my own incense. I'm obsessed atm. Can't quit buying and trying new kinds. Better than gambling or heroin, amirite?

mixedmedia 08-17-2009 02:58 AM

we went driving around in the Everglades. Went to Indian Village, Ochopee (sp?), Everglades City...got eaten alive by mosquitoes and saw an alligator real close.

Ourcrazymodern? 08-17-2009 09:49 AM

I talked to her.
I talked to the bank.
I called back.
I talked to our neighbor & asked if I could send him a check because of the damage the youngsters did to his hot tub last night.

He laughed & said, "That wasn't your doing!"

I laughed & said, "hell, I didn't even see it! Can I send you a check?"

He said, "Don't you fucking dare?"

So I laid down & wondered some more.

BadNick 08-17-2009 01:31 PM

sat on the beach, then sat by the pool and sipped a few Myers/ginger ale/lime, now I'm watching the ocean. I'm in Ocean City MD, weather's gorgeous.

uncle phil 08-17-2009 01:39 PM

Tophat665 08-17-2009 02:28 PM

Woke up at 7am, internetted, had a bowl of raisin bran, went to the gym at 9am, got sweaty, came home, downed some chocolate milk, watched a movie, had some applesauce, organized a movie night, getting ready for a late lunch.

inBOIL 08-17-2009 03:02 PM

This seems like a waste of lamb meat. Yet, I'm sure it'll be fabulous because well... it's lamb.

I'm not sure where you live, but Costco regularly sells BEAUTIFUL boneless lamb roasts. Oregano, sea salt, pepper, fresh rosemary, freshly squeezed lemons --- throw in some cut up potatoes. Probably my favorite meat dish ever.

Today I worked. And internetted. That's about it.

Ourcrazymodern? 08-24-2009 04:54 PM

I fed the fish, got some groceries,& drove halfway across town to save 60 cents per gallon of gas. Talked to my beloved, made supper, & am now enjoying the cool breezes in the backyard, watching the fish eat some more. It's been a good day.

P.S. Thanks for the fart joke,UP!

wooÐs 09-08-2009 12:06 PM

I did absolutely nothing today. Getting ready to head into the office to clean out my things while no one's there. Nobody knows that I know I'm losing my job. Might as well get a jump on it. It's a dignity thing.

Tully Mars 09-08-2009 02:25 PM

LordEden 10-10-2009 08:27 AM

It hasn't happened yet, but I'm going for pizza then it's Octoberfest time!

noodle 10-10-2009 08:34 AM

woke up, fell back asleep, woke up with a 16 lb cat on my bladder, peed (not in the bed), coordinated plans for the day with two plans, walked to the Market in disgusting heat and humidity, filled all the orders from friends for fresh things, walked home again dripping sweat, said hello to crazy old lady in the park. looked around the house, realized had no food that sounded good.

so i'm getting in the shower soon, popping 800mg of ibuprofen for the violent heat-headache, getting re-dressed, stopping by the only freestanding-Lebanese-owned-authentic Hovan in the world to pick up falafel, then heading to a friend's house to pick her up and go thrift storing and mall-ing (both of which i despise) because she turned thirty last weekend and is acutally doing something for herself and flying to new york in a few weeks to spend time with another friend who is turning thirty in brooklyn. i really hope there will be beer at some point.

wooÐs 10-10-2009 03:46 PM

Woke up around noon. Cuz I could.

Putzed around the house.

Got a wild hair to pull apart my office and deep clean. All cables, books, cd's - tangle free, dusted, organized. That was a bitch. Now I need to do the floor stacks. Tomorrow perhaps.

Now I sit, sipping some Sumatra, waiting for Cops.

The life of an unemployed, mid-30's bachelorette folks.

Poppinjay 10-10-2009 04:26 PM

Got to work a half hour late despite being in the building. Only me.

Also volunteered to work an extra shift at my other job for no pay in order to increase my overall paycheck.

Googled a friend and found out he A. was a groundbreaking journalist, and B. served 18 months for trafficking in kiddie porn.

Still a few hours left. I have to break down some boxes to get to the recycling bin.

Ourcrazymodern? 10-10-2009 07:50 PM

Roseanne Roseannadanna was in my dreams. Mourning came too soon.
We had apple/onion/love apple eggs for breakfast.
We went for groceries, I enjoyed the eye candy & got questioned about slumming.
Reconstructing the globe from puzzling pieces, the numbers came clear, so we drove to a local campground & burnt some more wood.
Happily ensconced, again.

ring 10-11-2009 12:21 PM

Ourcrazymodern? is going to teach me how to pan-fry Jello this afternoon.

He's hoping for other people's family recipes for Pan-fryed Jello, as well.

Feel free to add yours.

wooÐs 10-11-2009 01:06 PM

Just make sure to use olive oil. It's healthier.

Haven't done a lot. Just got back from the grocery store. I'm set for a while.

Drinkin' me some Yogi Green Kombochu or some shit. It's good.

RickB 10-11-2009 07:31 PM

And now I'm back on the computer.

I haven't decided on bike or metro.

Very cool of you to do.

I try to make it a point to experience that change of perspective every so often.

Tophat665 10-13-2009 06:00 AM

Not enough of today to look back on yet (I'm awake. I'm here. I'm dressed. What more do you want?)

Yesterday, I put together a 50 person Cost Prop in 2 hours, tore down a 55 and a 40 gallon tank and rebuilt the 55 along the Diane Walstad plan - Such a buttload of plants you would not believe. Over topsoil no less. Tonight I get to rebuild the 40 (bare bottomed, very simple. Just needs to be cleaned first.) and take down a pair of 30s.

Practical, sensual things, like saying "Goodbye, for the time being" & "Thankyou!!!"
Retarded but necessary stuff, like driving back here.

Cooked pork roast, spinach, and polenta.
Carved pumpkins with my kids.
Packed for trip to SLC tomorrow.

Yesterday was a wash. Did nothing but roll around in my own misery. But I feel better today. I'll be hitting the grocery store soon. Maybe pick up a nice Cabernet or something. Shit I might even get a steak. And a baked potato. Asparagus. Yeah. Nice dinner for a change. I'll have to see what they got.

ring 10-21-2009 02:44 PM

Vacuumed up fruit flies.
Watched my mom sit in her chair with the vacuum cleaner hose in her hand,
while she watched television, and waited for more fruit flies to land.

Then she tired of waiting for them to land and she would turn on the vacuum cleaner
and wave the wand frantically trying to catch the ones that were hovering.

We started laughing. She said, "I bet this looks a little nuts."

uncle phil 10-21-2009 03:24 PM

snowy made a thread a while ago about the whole 'kitchen cure' thing. I read it and was like, 'oh that's cool' and just let it go. Well, I couldn't let it go. It's been on my mind every day to get in there and pull out everything, throw out half, etc. So I did that today. I'm about 80% done with the entire kitchen I'd say. It'll be reeeeally nice knowing what I have and where it is. :)
