today I'm going to my son's 8th grade graduation, then off to his favorite lunch place, no work, all play. If it doesn't rain, I'll take a spirited drive down Goshen Rd. between Rts. 252 and 352.

Got prescriptions filled at Walmart. Yay for percoset.

Went home.
Went back to Walmart to get some throw rugs.
Left Walmart and went to a clothes store. Inquired about a PT job and was interviewed on the spot. Will find out more tomorrow.
Came home.
Changed clothes.
Me time for the rest of the evening. *puts feet up*

Took some NSAIDs and flexaril, then got comfortable on the couch.
Let the dog out to run for awhile.

I separated & planted one clump of hostas from my former house - hoping for nine I got twelve & I'm hoping the neighbors don't notice... six more varieties to go.

invited a friend over tomorrow for movies, cleaned up the apartment, got some more stuff moved up to my room, listed a bunch of stuff on craiglist in an attempt to get money for things i'll actually use, called a tv repair shop to have them explain to me that there isn't any likely fix for my LCD monitor. pouted.

Was able to move around today. Went to the store for some garden supplies, walked the dog and enjoyed a cool evening sitting on the back porch reading.
Now off to my photography class.

I got up in the morning and after a shower and washing my hair, proceeded to scan my entire body for an art project. Sounds crazy, I know.

Then I got dressed, got a bite to eat, and headed out in my car, to work. Was late to work on account of difficulty parking. Worked all day in an art gallery in the sweltering heat. No air-conditioning!

Left work at about 7pm to go and work on location for an art show I'm a part of. It's in a rickety, old, falling-apart house, in a very old and quirky neighbourhood of town. It was interesting sitting on the window sill and observing the people in the street, the noises. Got set up and painted for 3 hours. The work is coming along. It's not perfect but it's better than yesterday and I'm happier with it. It's starting to look interesting!

Now I am home and after getting some food I will get back to painting, also for the show. It's almost midnight, better get cracking!

Same thing I do every day, Pinky. Tried to take over the WORLD.

Got up, had a cup of coffee, went to work, took a stroll with my charge to the local hippie food co-op, had another cup of coffee there while sitting outside and reading the Eugene Weekly, enjoyed the quiet that ensued while my charge slept, went for a longer stroll around the historic district near my house, then came home before heading out on my bicycle to run errands; I had to purchase books for summer classes, find a pair of Lycra shorts for ultimate frisbee, and pick up some Clinique exfoliating scrub. Now I am home, enjoying the slight breeze through the window of my study that smells of honeysuckle.

yesterday i golfed and was in a segment taped for friday's local news about our golf course; specifically the thirteenth hole...

Spent most of yesterday and today asleep on the couch. A funk is visiting.
Creeping out of it slowly I think.

Walked the dogs. Went to the gym. Installed a door bell. Floated in the pool. Made a couple on-line trades, sold a little of this, bought some of that etc... Now headed out to cook dinner on the barbecue, chicken and grilled veggies.

Got up at 4:12 am to go pee, per usual. Laid there until 6:15 when the alarm went off.
Showered and became sad again when someone, somewhere also decided to take a shower, therefore killing the water pressure.
Brewed coffee in the new coffeemaker... which tasted burned.
Drove to work.
Took the MMPI-2 since I had no one to see that early.
Emailed my answers to the assessor for Summer Session lab.
Drove past my previous home, previous haunts, got tearful on the way to a funeral.
Participated in said funeral, internment, and reception for almost 3.5 hours.
Drove back to the office past previous home, previous haunts and got all emotional again.
Sat in office doing paperwork, feeling dizzy and out-of-sorts.
Figured out have double ear infection and low-grade fever... thank you nurses.
Drove to final appointment of day at 4 pm in the ghetto... seriously, with pepper spray in hand... no one home.
Got back in car immediately, drove home.
Got call back from patient to reschdule for tomorrow.
Stood staring dumbly at cabinet realizing I forgot to get catfood.
Cursed self repeatedly for not buying catfood and creating a situation where I must now walk to the grocery store in the 98 degree heat to get catfood so that I don't lose my parking space and have to park in the alley where I'm likely to get broken into moreso than in front.
Surfed the net... and am currently trying to build self up to walk to grocery store.
Fighting nausea from the two lumpia I had at the reception and trying to figure out what to get from grocery store to calm tummy when I really just want food that is bad for me and will make me feel sicker.

I hate PMS. It makes everything seem really, really bad.
I'm going to the grocery store now.

Well, it's Thursday June 18th, 2008.

My husband is home this week, actually been home all week. Our son is with his uncle for the week.

So our week looks like this:

Screw like rabbits.
Drink like fish.
Walk around naked.

Our son will be home too soon. My husband will go back to work too soon.

So my day is my week, for this week anyway.

I crawled around under the house to locate a dead rat, getting covered in mud, mysterious salts, and some unknown yellowish substance. I'm hoping that substance is rat urine because that's the least disturbing of the possibilities I've imagined. And I took a shower.

back to yesterday again...

drove all day in the pouring fucking rain to the cape, had an excellent seafood platter at some irish place off route 28 in west yarmouth, and met my nephew's fiance at an "after-rehearsal" party...

today i don't plan on doing too much until we go to the wedding later this afternoon in chatham...

My goal for the day is to have lunch at Tony's Place Bar & Grill in Ivyland PA, one of my favorite local lunch spots...which is why I had lunch there yesterday, too.

hey Th, I had a crown installed yesterday! ...not an extraction, but still. I feel so regal.

Some dental procedures suggest their own anesthetic.

No dental work or falling in love for me. I think I'm glad of both... I think. Dental work does sound appealing.

Usual routine coffee, gym, walk dogs, rake beach, few laps in the pool then float around. Now I'm thinking about spearing a fish for dinner. If I can't find one, I'm out of air in my tanks, I still have chicken from last night.

I went to an job interview, got hired, took a drug test, had lunch with some friends, and now I'm making stuffed green peppers to take over a friend's house, three of us are gonna watch 'Medea Goes To Jail: The Movie.' This is the busiest I've been in a while.

Ran six miles at 1 AM. It was cool misty comfort.
Ate Frosted Miniwheats for my first two meals.
Bought SCUBA gear from a really hot redhead that totally wants me. Ooo.
Drank a giant can of Bud Light (that got me feeling reel grood).
Filled up the 5 Gallon for my motorcycle. Taking it out later tonight.
Played with my cat, Lord Buddha of Dark Vengeance Paw. He likes the laser on my Glock.
Drilled with my M4 / Glock 34. I gotta look halfway proficient for this advanced carbine class.
Ran some more. I'm the pale guy in the short-shorts out there at midnight.
Worked on my resume. I'm having a helluva time figuring out how to translate military jargon.
Cursed the endless rain (as it's monsoon season outside Washington, D.C.).

decided to take a hiatus from fun. going to a sports bar now, one that i know sucks. this is step one.

I dreamed about the woman I can't have, listened to the second half of 'The Five People You Meet in Heaven,' walked in the rain to the library, took out and read a few graphic novels ('Exit Wounds' and 'The Plain Janes'), while reading them I transfered 'Ender's Game' to my iPod and took an hour nap, then started reading 'Coraline,' taking a break from that, thinking about starting a new blog. I ate some stuff at some point.

Thinking about eating some more (rice mixed with corn, onions, broccoli, and ground beef). My plan for the rest of the day is to finish 'Coraline' and start on 'Ender's Game.'

woke up still tipsy from last night's pity party.
did three hours of stats homework.
made breakfast of sauteed tomato, garlic, pepper, chives, oregano, cracked pepper, salt and one whole egg with two whites, drank a bottle of water.
walked 3 miles to and from the market. drank two bottles of water.
braved walmart AND lowe's. drank two more bottles of water.
fertilized plants and used new hose to water them.
stained shelves, waiting for them to dry so they can be hung over the stove to hold up my sprays, oils, etc.
finishing another bottle of water. (I refill a lot of them)
cracked open a Harp whilst waiting since it is still 100 degrees outside.
grabbed a hunk of the sundried tomato-oregano-garlic-whole grain bread bought fresh this morning at the market.
started episode one of Kitchen Confidential on hulu and marinated in my own sweat while waiting for shelving to dry.
once they're dry, will hang them, hang pictures on wall, rearrange cabinets, change litter box, take a shower, debate what to eat and possibly go see The Hangover at 9:15 around the corner.
will possibly then walk home with grumpy facial expression and pepper spray in hand so as not to be molested or spoken to by any weird people in the neighborhood.
and do the dishes at some point.

Cooked up some pasta- Leftover slow grilled chicken breast with grilled veggies (peppers, onions, mushrooms, garlic and capers) mixed in with some marinara and poured on top of rotini then topped with some fresh parmesan.

Then I ate and drank.

Got up. Drank coffee. Went to breakfast. Got groceries. Came back here. Went to the bookstore. Went & ate artichoke dip at the lake. Came back here. Made some wonderful soup & salad, with tuna steaks after. Then we fucked like tiger bunnies. I might watch a movie now, I dunno.

Had a yard sale. $160 for setting up a shitload of shit in 95 degree weather. Then having to pack up the shit that didn't sell for Goodwill. This is the 3rd yard sale I've had. I'm never doing one again. Unless I have like, 3 people helping.

Ended up in the ER around 4:00 for abdominal pain. I'm a regular there.

Came home and slept for an hour.

well, i woke up this mornin' and i got myself a be-er...

...i transplanted a gazillion baby Basil plants which promptly began to droop in the heat so i performed emergency surgery on them...individually shoring them up with extra soil and more water. I just checked and they've all perked up now...phew.

...moral of the story: don't buy 2 packages of seeds and sprinkle them all willy-nilly in a few planters....unless you want to make Pesto for all the TFPers here...and then some.

...i showered and then i went to the mall and bought a little summer dress to stay cool.

Put together another order of fish. Redistributed my cory fry among many tanks so they will grow faster. Changed the water on the upstairs tanks and cleaned the filters. Made souvlaki for me and the girls. Sweated. A lot. Like, did I have a saltwater tank, I would have been able to do the water change with Sweat.

How funny is that. I too had basil issues today. Planted from seed in pots. They're getting plenty of water but they're still wilting. Could it actually be the heat / sunlight?

I also cleaned up some today.
Transferred a snake plant to a much larger pot and brought it indoors. This thing is massive.
Transferred a black sweet potato vine to a hanging basket.
Spent about 20 minutes w/Dad.
Ate veal parm takeout for dinner.
Sunday night tv.
Computer.

Went to work, came home, put some laundry away while playing Sims 3, went to a Father's Day dinner, came home, played some Sims 3, went for a walk, and now we're watching Sunday night cartoons while I post on TFP...before some more Sims 3.

Slept in, watched four episodes of Band of Brothers, went to my aunt and uncles place for dinner, came home and watched two more episodes of Band of Brothers to finish up the series. Now I am sitting here while I finish my bowl of yogurt and granola then I am going to brush my teeth and go to bed. Yup, pretty productive!

This afternoon we're going to be hanging out with Magpie's fam, because it's her sister's birthday. That should be a good time. I like her sisters, and her sister's boyfriend, and readers of my blog know that her parents are completely in love with me. It's a good thing overall.

I woke up this morning to go for a long bike ride with aberkok and his wife.

It's a ridiculously glorious day today. Sunny with big fluffy white clouds as far as the eye can see. At in a naturalized park trail, and there you have it.

Now I need to finish an assignment and do a bunch of dishes.

I'm hoping to sneak in a cat nap somewhere.

cut and polyurethaned a new tabletop for my barbecue table...

Tried to sleep off the world's worst hangover, fucked around online, read a book, watched TV - basically avoided the real world until I felt like a human being, again.

Slept the most pleasant sleep this week. Woke up this after noon to the sound of a semi truck on the beach. The stage is leaving! No more Mexican Woodstock out my back door!

8 hour fish tank day. Changed water on a 40, a 33, two 25s, three 20s, eight 10s, a fie and a half, and a 2 and a half. Separated out 12 albino bronze cories, 17 or so Gold Fundulopanchax gardneri, and 5 Hererandria formosa fry to get my breeder's award points at the meeting tomorrow. Also switched my Aphyosemion striatum and Fundulopanchax gardneri breeders in the hopes that the Aphys will breed in the tank the gardneris were breeding in. Culled my guppies - kept the best 6 males and 12 females, separated out the 12 remaining males and 20 best remaining females, and tossed 30 or so into my bushfish tank for snackies. What else? Redistributed the larges fry from my stage 1 cory and whiptail growout to other tanks. Set aside a pair of mature male Heterandria formosa for a friend, 12 good sized whiptails for auction, and 4 sterba's cories for auction. Also got 3 fry and 30 eggs out of the sterba tank and put them in the stage 1 growout with some malachite green to inhibit fungus. Thinned the salvinia and watersprite where it was getting out of hand, and started making a list of fish to enter in the fish show tomorrow: Ctenopoma acutirostre, Trichogaster trichopterus (I have a gorgeous female), Yoyo Loach (Botia almorhae), Diamond Tetra (Moenkhausia pitteri), Siamese Algae Eater, Rineoloricaria eignemanni (Whiptailed catfish), My male Festivum, my male Fundulopanchax, and one of my Bandit cories. Going to be a bit tricky to get them all there. Also, finished reading "An Empire Unacquainted with Defeat"

Went to Sail Boston 2009 and saw some tall ships.
Had a nice lunch at a good restaurant.
Nice day on the pier.

I went for new tires & was <secretly pleased about the eye candy they gave me. I almost asked about why there was so much of that here, but thought (no better) & got it.

Took vicodin for the wisdom teeth that are no longer. Also a high powered antibiotic. Switched the 5.5 gallon Betta tank and the 5.5 gallon puffer tank so that the puffer tank would have more light. Woke up at 6, but probably have slept 8 of the last 12 hours.

Also, tried to take over the world (is difficult when you brain is detached, confuzzled, and 3/4 asleep.)

Drove for 45 minutes so I could wait for half an hour so I could do 2 hours' worth of work that got thrown away because it didn't need to be done. And made an effort at socializing that was a good diversion, but ultimately devoid of pleasure.

Put on SCUBA gear for the first time. It's way fun to ninja-lurk around on the bottom of a pool and dart off like some kind of eel.

Well then I finished 'having sex' about 50 minutes ago :o.

Talked to my daughter on the phone for a while. Then chatted with some friends on-line. After that excitement I went and floated in my pool. Somedays, for what ever reason, the flights in and out of Cancun are routed directly over my house. Today was such a day, incoming flights west to east, outbound south to north. As I floated I used the contrails to play tic-tack-toe in my head.

I have a friend to pick up at the airport tomorrow. I think she'll make the weekend more exciting. Kind of hard to get less exciting.

Went to the Dayton Celtic Festival. Got several compliments on my skirt. Drank a whole lotta Smithwick's. Discovered some awesome bands, and got a cd and autographs from one of them (Blackthorn. Check them out.) Danced, danced, danced. Saw Gaelic Storm, and sang along very loudly (they didn't play my two favorite songs, though... :( ) Played in a fountain, and got absolutely soaked. Sat by the river for a couple hours, sobering up and drying out.

What a fabulous day.

I went floating on the river with 8 of us and lots of inflatable things and bikini clad wimminz. I had a great time.
