All I'm sayin' is that burning sage bears an uncanny aromatic resemblance to weed smoke. Well...it does.

Zeraph 07-12-2009 09:16 AM

Bleh, I hate metallic smells (like blood).

Some more likes:
malt vinegar
smoke
fresh tobacco or anything one smokes (before you smoke it)

Huffing a box of 64 brand new Crayola brand crayons.

I think I came when I saw them in stores.

I love the smell of military equipment. It all seems to have the same smell of oil, grease, and some je ne sais quoi. I have also come to love the smell of wet wool, as I've been exposed to it quite a bit within the last few years. I adore the smell of gasoline, jet fuel, and coffee; all things that smell wonderful but taste terrible. I am also fond of the smell of cordite and gunpowder. That's all just sort of the tip of the iceberg for my olfactory senses.

DaniGirl 07-25-2009 07:35 PM

Rain, and it is raining right now! Yay

LordEden 07-25-2009 08:12 PM

That "girl" smell, just how girls smell so much better than we crude men do.
Untouched Air and Earth.
Cooking smells, kitchens just have such wonderful smells.
The way the air smells right before it storms.
The ocean, when I was on the ship I loved just to stand on the aft deck and SMELL the air. It just filled me with a wonderful feeling.
The smell of a brand new book.
Fresh herbs (cooking ones). Rosemary is my favorite. I *like* the smell of garlic.
Rice.

I actually love the way men smell. Which is why I always steal...um...BORROW... shirts from guys I'm dating.

Rain. The ocean. Woodsmoke. And did I mention men?

Willravel 07-25-2009 11:53 PM

ZenFilthPig 08-04-2009 06:19 AM

Burning sugar cane - It seems to bypass the nasal sensors and drive straight into the brain. Quite a sensation.

Ourcrazymodern? 08-04-2009 06:25 AM

Sugar cane's quite big around, right?

Lilacs & peonies, but I despise the smell of lilies.

ring 08-04-2009 07:14 AM

David Bowie.

Ourcrazymodern? 08-05-2009 12:47 PM

mmm. fishy.

Found these candles recently. If you want to know what heaven smells like, these are it. No other way to describe them. Very 'light and cloudy and foofy.' There.

Mystic Elements Etc.. Intention Candles

Meditation, Unwind and Spirit (the best one) are what I've tried so far.

FelixP 08-05-2009 08:03 PM

Rain, especially before it falls.
Certain kinds of industrial adhesive that smell like Cow Tales (the candy, not the ass hatch.)
Autumn.
New rubber.
New books.
Gun powder.
Gasoline.

I'll add more as I think of them.
