Post your best riddle
I have always been interested in riddles. I have particularly enjoyed reading riddles embedded in some books by interesting authors like Tolkien and King. I've also enjoyed riddles that are incorporated into the game plot of such great games and Baldur's Gate. Surely many riddles in the world have been asked and answered, but there should be a few out there that haven't been. Or at least ones that aren't familiar to this group.
So here is an invitation to all of you out there. Post your riddles, your best ones, your hardest ones, your funniest ones. Extra points to someone who can post a totally original one. I leave it to your discretion whether you want to post the answer to the riddle after a scroll down, or just leave it up to another member to answer your particular riddle. I might make for some fun... I'll start it off with a couple (non-original) from a couple of different genres of riddling. #1 Riddle: What has a bed, but never sleeps? Has a mouth, but never eats? Scroll down for Answer.... Answer: A river #2 Riddle: What row of numbers comes next? 1 11 21 1211 111221 312211 13112221 Answer: The next row is 1113213211 Starting with the second line, every line describes the line before it. In writing, it is: One One Two Ones One Two One One etc. Now post your favorite(s)!!! |

Cracker Jack.
http://www.richcompany.com/watch-ame...acker-jack.htm A boy has a tiger, a goat, and some greens that he must take into town to be sold. To get to town he must cross a river. He cannot go around, under, or fly over the river. He must cross the river with a raft and he can only take ONE thing or animal at a time with him across. However, he cannot leave the tiger with the goat because the goat will get eaten and he cannot leave the goat with the greens as the greens will get eaten. The only two that can be left together are the tiger and the greens. The boy can make as many trips as he wishes and we assume that nothing gets eaten when the boy is with them. How does the boy get all of his cargo including himself across the river safely? Answer |
