belief persists

What else can it do?
Belief believes in itself.
I believe in belief though I recognize it ironic.

Amaras 11-15-2008 09:00 PM

Belief needs not us,
rather in needs only to be
what it is, regardless

BadNick 11-15-2008 09:10 PM

But do we need it? What could cause us to lose it? Without it we're doomed?

Amaras 11-15-2008 09:17 PM

Our needs seem not to matter,
only our wants.
Overindulgence of wants can lead to it's loss,
only when wanting it will it need to be found.
We are doomed when we do not need it.

i'd rather be a leaf than a garden hose...

Amaras 11-16-2008 08:14 AM

A paper sheaf all alone,
that nobody knows

Cynosure 11-16-2008 09:37 AM

Since neither belief can be proven
completely and irrefutably;
and since both beliefs
have been explored and argued,
exhaustively and endlessly;
which belief a person chooses
speaks volumes about that person.

Others words are our words.
I breathe in our exhalations.

"I'd rather be a sparrow than a snail
Yes I would, if I could, I surely would
I'd rather be a hammer than a nail
Yes I would, if I only could, I surely would

Away, I'd rather sail away
Like a swan that's here and gone
A man gets tied up to the ground
He gives the world its saddest sound
Its saddest sound

I'd rather be a forest than a street
Yes I would, if I could, I surely would
I'd rather feel the earth beneath my feet
Yes I would, if I only could, I surely would"

You see how we are? I'd rather have you here, smelling my pits! I love you.

25, or 6 to 4?

Tophat665 11-22-2008 06:25 PM

Only doubt persists longer than belief.

I believe in nothing because nothing is sacred. Nothing endures. Before there was anything, there was nothing, and when everything goes away, nothing will remain. I spend a great deal of time thinking about nothing. Nothing can comfort me, nothing can console me, and nothing can satisfy me. I stop for nothing, stop at nothing, and pray to nothing. My church is nowhere and there is nothing on the altar.

All Hail Nothing! It's better than anything.

Two weeks ago, I entertained a completely different basis for belief.
Its fluidity might be one of its most charming aspects.

I might now even have to look for ceiling cat.

ROTFLMAO!!!!!!

I believe that's very funny.
I believe humor is very important to our species.

I'm still a little unsettled that "lie" lies in the middle of the word, in English.

I know,(believe) that I received the most loving, magical,
sparkling, crackling, heart-filled, smile-producing,
hairs-on-my-arms-standing-up, letter and card yesterday in the mail,
from my most beloved lover.

I re-read it at least five tmes in the middle of the night.

Love believes in love,
always has,
always will.

No.

The candle persists in NOT glowing.

The FLAME glows though. :orly:

There are no such things as light bulbs. They're dark absorbers. When activated, they suck the dark out of an area in straight lines. Shadows are places that are obstructed from the dark absorber. Eventually they will fill up and refuse to absorb any more darkness. This gives us the opportunity to prove that dark has mass, because when you shake a full dark absorber, you can hear the dark rattling around.
