Being a Philly Phanatic, I have to ask: are you in Silver Creek, NY?

Silver Creek's most famous resident is Howard "Bob" Ehmke. He was the pitching hero of the 1929 World Series. While playing for the Philadelphia Athletics, Ehmke struck out 13 Chicago Cubs in Game 1, a World Series record until 1953.

are you at Johnson's Creek?

In that area all I found was that some early settlers moved from Yates Center (north of Lyndonville) to take advantage of water power provided by Johnson's Creek. If that's not it, I'll give it more thought later as I play with my Johnson.

this place seems to add up with some of the clues:

Are you at Murder Creek?

...which according to my reference is a tributary of Tonawanda Creek, which I guessed wrong, then sixteen posts later Tully guessed wrong again just to make sure it was wrong ...I guess sort of to murder that guess of Tonawanda Creek. So I'm partially indebted to Tully for helping me come up with that murdered guess. Thanks, Tul ...this is assuming it's the right guess, which may be a wrong conclusion until unc confirm it, or not.
