What are doing? A scene from "When Harry met Sally?"
Are you doing it east of our lady?

yes, Shell, more specific. I want you to find the specific structure I'm in. It's not a museum, it's a national monument recently in the news.
unc, yes, south of 59th St. and I believe in your alternative spelling. It sort of looks more Dutch with the "e" Tul, not really a business as such...see above where my clue is "a national monument" recently in the news. But I like your Madhatter comment since this is sort of a hat. |

Tully, that's close enough for government work. I am actually up in Liberty's crown. So you're up, padre.
As you may have seen in recent news, the observation deck in her crown was just opened again after many years of closure. The TV news report I saw said tickets to get up here are already sold out for like the next couple years! |

Wow that one cool picture.
How come some photos show people hanging out the crown and others behind a window? Do the windows open? Removable? Where am I?

WH?
Tul, I'm not sure about the open windows but I bet that might be the security crew who work there, prior to official opening. I'm pretty sure the windows do not open to the general public. The TV special I saw highlighted the multi-year plans, practices, and efforts of the EMS people and security personnel who work at the Statue of Liberty and it showed how one of the stipulations to allow opening the crown again was that they had to have a viable evacuation plan in case of a medical emergency. So they developed special equipment, pulleys, etc. that allows lowering somebody down quickly....looked similar to rock climbing equipment but it was red. |
