"pearly gate" canyon wouldn't have been a bad guess, but, it too, would be incorrect...

According to wiki, which we know could be a bit marginal at times:

The four United States National Parks within the State of Colorado are:

Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park near Montrose
Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve near Mosca
Mesa Verde National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site near Cortez
Rocky Mountain National Park near Estes Park and Grand Lake

Or maybe you're at a national monument? ....unc, are you at one of these places?

The six United States National Monuments in the State of Colorado are:

Canyons of the Ancients National Monument near Cortez
Colorado National Monument near Grand Junction and Fruita
Dinosaur National Monument near Dinosaur
Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument near Florissant
Hovenweep National Monument near Cortez
Yucca House National Monument near Cortez

On top of that the National Parks system was created in 1916. So I'm lost on the 100 year old clue.

Sounds like a cool place. I should go someday. My only experience in Colorado is driving loaded semis through the state spending as little time stopping as possible.

OK go...

ps: I am so happy I got rid of some kind of pernicious virus/trogan thing that was inhabiting my laptop for the last few days. It was like a war, with many battles, even had me scanning and manually deleting stuff in safe-mode against recommended procedures. But I finally won! No sign of that punk-ass piece of crap all day now.

Glad to hear about the health of your laptop. I've had that happen and it's a nightmare. Of course I'm IT challenged so...
