No.

Also, I am very impressed how fast you can narrow a location; hemisphere, continent, and so on. I am learning.

Wow. Good plan, and nice to see you taking me clue to heart. Alas, no.

Also, not to give too much away, but this place also has a connection with Tully's most prominent clue for New Caledonia.

Not correct either, but to lucidify, Tully already eliminated the European continent.

As I thought.

You were speaking Dutch, it seemed. Guessing ... Indonesia? Though that would seem too far south.

This is my third. The last time I played this game was on page 3, still in its infancy. Sorry for the possible delay, but I got lost in the 'choose your jelly' thread. But, since you gave no guess, you couldn't have missed me too much.

How about Vietnam...officially the Socialist Republic of Vietnam? I'm guessing this country assuming the French connection was Tully's clue you alluded to.

Very insightful BadNick, but I am afraid that is not it either. The French connection should help all, though.

ItWasMe: No, many women do not, but that does not help the general consensus that may come to one's mind when one hears of this country's region.

Yes. I am within the borders of Lebanon.

But, this time, as opposed to last, I am located not in the capital city, but a recognizable landmark which is also the site for an international venue.

Where am I residing?

Are you at Beiteddine Palace?

...re: Gilberto Gil, who is also the minister of Culture of Brazil, was a guest at Beiteddine Palace, some 50 kilometers away from Beirut, the country capital. The show is part of Beiteddine Festival, which began on the July 12 and should continue with nine other presentations up to August 12. Gilberto Gil is among Brazilians at Lebanon's International Music Festival there.

Ah, yes.

I am indeed at Beiteddine Palace in the Republic of Lebanon, which is also site of the International Music Festival to which I was alluding.

You saved me much of the effort and history that might've gone into this post, BadNick.

You were quite confident of your guess, and it paid off. The show is now yours, Nick.

Jetée, I was pretty confident based on your last couple clues and my intuition. I'll dig out one of my old LP's of Gilberto Gil playing and singing with his band...I haven't played that in quite a few years.

OK folks, where in the world am I?

Intuition: You are currently experiencing the cusp of winter/spring.

Not a city...the place I have in mind is a building and there are a couple very small towns within a few miles but the building is not in a town...it's pretty much just out there.

I am south of the Mason-Dixon line.
