Well I was thinking of a city...actually a town. I think if you get generally close, it won't be too hard to figure out which town in the area I'm at since there aren't that many.

nope...I'm not in Virginia

...though I did know a Virginia that I would like to be in. When I was a young man, Viginia Bell was one of my hearthrobs and a big heartthrob she had.

Virginia "Ding Dong" Bell was a topless model and actress. She started her career in the 1950s as a burlesque dancer. Standing only 5'2" (1.57 m), her 48-inch bust was her most prominent asset. According to Celebrity Sleuth magazine, Virginia's measurements were 48-24-36. She is frequently said to have had the best body ever of any burlesque dancer or pin up model.

apparently photobucket didn't think this was a nice pic...though I beg to differ:

Man, I love these vintage shots. I swear I was born a couple decades (centuries?) too late.

Are you north of Norfolk?

Yes, I'm north of Norfolk.

That makes me wonder if "Norfolk" means "Northern Folks"?...which would be strange since they seem to strongly consider themselves Southerners (in the U.S., that is)

Well, in the Navy we referred to it as "No Fuck, Vagina." Not many ladies around, though I was never actually there. One of my buddies had a picture from there on his locker. Was of a lawn sign stating "Sailors and dogs keeps off the grass." Wasn't a popular duty station, never heard one guy say "Gee, can't wait to get back to Norfolk."

North of NYC?

Thanks. I did a little search myself, but came up with the Norfolk Islanders associated with the Mutiny on the Bounty & Pitcairn Island...and I found some very interesting language they developed there, combination of Tahitian, English, natural sounds, etc.

nope. Wrong state. Not NJ.

ALSO, THIS IS AN IMPORTANT ANOUNCEMENT FROM THE MANAGEMENT:
Due to unexplained server motherboard problems, BadNick's post above said that he was south of NYC when in fact, he typed "north of NYC". We humbly apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you.

ok, I'm up, guys...had a good dream last night, except right at the end a bunch of family guys (mob) came down to where I was eating a huge homemade Italian feast and just as I stuffed my face full of fettucini and veal scallopini one of the older distinguished looking gangsters comes up and stands right in front of me and looks me in the eye with that look "...you know why we're here, Nick..." and I know they came to take me out for violating some unbreakable code...except I don't know really what I did and I'm wondering if they would let me have a nice big glass of chianti so I can wash down this good food and not die with my mouth full...and then I woke up. I have to go back to that and figure out what they think I did and I'm sure I can talk my way out of it.

Yep, I am in Martha's Vineyard. I had a specific town in mind but since there are only a few towns on the island I'm good to go just with Tully's Vineyard guess.

I spent many vacations on that island and really like it there especially this nice little rustic house I used to stay in most of the time, right on Lake Tashmoo, very quiet and close to nature environment. It also reminds me of my beloved black lab, Dewey, who loved to play there, running and swimming out to try to grab the osprey as they were diving for fish right off the shore.
