Bruce would be proud of you, Tul. But not Asbury Park...you're too far north.
|
In an Atlantic coast state?

say uncle if you give up...here's another clue but don't accuse me of being too obvious:
I met her in a club down in old soho Where you drink champagne and it tastes just like cherry-cola [lp version: Coca-cola] C-o-l-a cola She walked up to me and she asked me to dance I asked her her name and in a dark brown voice she said lola L-o-l-a lola lo-lo-lo-lo lola |
not lake lanier...
|
yes...not lake lanier.
Does Lake Lanier have anything to do with Lola? Lo-Lo-Lo-Lo-la...get kinky on me, unc. |
50 miles northeast of kennesaw mountain is chattahoochee...35 miles southwest of chattahoochee is lake lanier...i'm stymied...
|
I went over google maps and my GPS software this morning and I got nothing in that area that ties into Lola or the Kinks.
I have a feeling I'm going to feel stupid when I see the answer. |
I sorta hate to jump in here after you all have done the work, but you fellas seem a little perplexed.
Im guessing Amicalola Falls, GA. |
thank you very much, ms. detective. Yes, I'm at Amicalola Falls. I'm glad you found, me, now you're up.
unc and Tul seem to NOT be wise guys this time, so I'm throwing in this pic of a couple of cute little wise owls from Amicalola State Park. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2..._Owl3-full.jpg http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...Falls-full.jpg It's easy to see why this is one of Georgia's most popular state parks. Amicalola, a Cherokee Indian word meaning "tumbling waters," is an appropriate name for these 729-foot falls ~~ the tallest cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi River. Amicalola Falls State Park is an 829-acre (3.35 km²) Georgia state park located between Ellijay and Dahlonega in Dawsonville, Georgia. The park's name is derived from a Cherokee language word meaning "tumbling waters". The park is home to a 729-foot (222 m) waterfall, making it the highest in Georgia.[1] It is considered to be one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Georgia. An eight-mile trail that winds past Amicalola Falls and leads to Springer Mountain, famous for being the southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail, begins in the park. Amicalola Falls State Park also offers many hiking trails, a guest lodge, Restaurant, cabins, a shelter for long distance Appalachian Trail hikers, a campground and access to the eco-friendly Len Foote Hike Inn. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...allsbridge.jpg The lodge at Amicalola State Park http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...Lodge-full.jpg http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...scape-full.jpg |
