I'm in the WH.
I thought CaliLivChick was here a minute ago, but now I don't see hide nor hair of her. Zook, you see her in your bed? |
she might be under my bed...
(aunt phil would really be pissed...) NH? |
nope. SH.
(don't tell her? I'm not asking her but my wife would probably not be pleased about something like that, either...most wives are like that for some reason) |
South America?
Don't worry y'all, just hop into my bed and we won't mention this to your wives... unless they want to join or take pics... ;) |
el correcto, Sudamerica it is. I've been know to go places in this game that have some superlative quality, sort of like CLC I'm sure, so this is another place like that.
|
Chile?
|
nope
|
Southern South America?
|
I'll say no, since I'm north of Chile.
|
Bolivia?
|
Quote:
. Just realised my FU... I said WH, when I should have said NH.... doesn't matter, we know where you are now.... North of Chile.... hows about Embalse Nuclear Power Station..... Province of Cordoba? . |
Venezuela?
|
brazil?
|
w00t! I'm dream fodder! score!
*taps foot* Nick, waiting on you here bud... |
patience is a virtue, CLC, in case you need one
Yes, Bolivia. |
Virtues? Virtues? We don't need no stinkin' virtues!
Northern Bolivia? |
Now I'm sure we have some kind of mystical connection since in my last post I had to restrain myself from posting "we don't need no stinkin'..." , either that or we're both just nuts.
I wouldn't say northern or southern, really, since it's close to the middle, though dangling to the left of center this time. It's a natural feature with a man- (and I'm sure greatly helped by woman) -made thing plopped there to make it that superlative category. |
Mystical connection sounds right, but nuts is more likely.
Incan temple? |
not nearly that old. This place was built for the same purpose it might be used today ...as long as global warming doesn't interfere too much. Go to hell, Al Gore<<<the AG part is not a clue
|
How about Cochabamba? 17° 23′ 0″ S, 66° 10′ 0″ W
|
Zook, you're about 28,400,245 barleycorn too far east.
(~150 miles / ~240 km) |
So.... what's that in midgie dicks?
So, near Laguna Paro Kkota? . |
"El Camino de la Muerte?"
|
neither of those places, and I'm not positive where either place is. But I'm within 20 miles of La Paz
|
in cotapata national park?
|
unc, a little north of that park; less than 10 miles.
Look for a building on a hilltop that has some superlative significance and I'll be there waiting for you all. |
in rinconada?
|
a bit too far. I'm much closer to La Paz, about 18 miles it says. The place I am is the only one of it's kind in Bolivia and offers an unexpected activity for such an equatorial location.
|
Chacaltaya glacier?
|
Can I guess Phil's guess too?
|
Chacaltaya glacier is my guess as well .. :)
|
I'm happy to report that you are all correct...sort of. Each of you please go out and have a beer or two on me. Just PM me the bill, and then all of you go hide someplace. But as far as this game, dear old uncle phil was the first to post the right answer, so now it's his turn. Go, unc!
I said "sort of" above because as you see in these clues below, I said Quote:
As opposed to a building, which is built; thus I gave the clue Quote:
photo by Benjamin Hull So I was tempted to string you guys out a bit longer. But this ski lodge built on top of the mountain and near the glacier is the highest ski resort in the world, and the only ski resort in Bolivia, at an altitude of 17,785 feet / 5421 meters...so it's even tough breathing normally up there. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...854e8cf344.jpg This equatorial ski area is the world’s highest lift served ski area as well as the northernmost ski area in South America. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...ccd0458fca.jpg It overlooks Lake Titicaca and the city La Paz http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...c5786af0db.jpg However, the glacier that once surrounded the lodge with copious amount of snow is melting fast. Scientists say that glaciers are increasingly receding throughout the Andes but the Chacaltaya’s melting has been especially quick due to climate change. Attributing the melting to the growing emission of Green House gases causing global warming, scientists are speculating that Bolivia’s skiing tradition could be in the extinct list when Chacaltaya’s modest ski run may disappear forever in a few years. http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...b44e209a2f.jpg |
Well, that exactly where we meant! :)
|
lake titicaca would have been my next guess...
give me some time and i'll come up with someplace... |
in the meantime, I'll see what google shows for titi and caca
|
Just don't search "two girls one cup."
|
gonna get a head start on the search for phil... NH?
|
