Nope, but you're within driving distance.

BadNick 11-05-2009 07:22 AM

Are you in Virginia City?

...site of the Ponderosa Ranch (supposedly "ficticious" but I saw it on TV so I know it's real), site of the Comstock Lode silver mines, the place where Samuel Clemens first used the pen name Mark Twain

Tully Mars 11-05-2009 07:32 AM

I am in Virgina City, a specific place in that city.

BTW- there is a Ponderosa Ranch, or at least a TV set. It's over by lake Tahoe and the whole thing takes up about two acres. The back of main street is the front of the Cartwright's homestead

BadNick 11-05-2009 07:56 AM

are you at Boot Hill Cemetery?

BadNick 11-05-2009 10:56 AM

might you be at Piper's Opera House?

Built in 1885 and still in use, Piper's Opera House has recently undergone extensive restoration. This stage once welcomed President Grant, Buffalo Bill, Al Jolson and Mark Twain. Plus, viewers of shows at Piper’s Opera House can keep their eye out for the ghosts who are said to attend many of the performances.

Tully Mars 11-05-2009 12:26 PM

No, but you're narrowing it down. Only so many famous places in this town.

There's just too many things happening in Virginia City!!! Are you at one of these?

I'm trying to decide between the Annual Virginia City Camel Races, or the Virginia City Outhouse Races, or the Mountain Oyster Festival

There's lots of places in Virignia City.

Those are events Nick. I'm at place we could sit down and enjoy a cold one.

uncle phil 11-06-2009 03:17 AM

the palace restaurant on south "C" street?

BadNick 11-06-2009 06:30 AM

I'll guess the Bucket of Blood Saloon since I read that "The Bucket of Blood is one of Virginia City's most famous saloons".

Tully Mars 11-06-2009 06:49 AM

I am at the bucket of blood.

Yer up.

BadNick 11-06-2009 11:29 AM

If we could ever meet there, the rounds of bloody bulls are on me. In case you want to know, a bloody bull is basically a bloody mary with beef bullion and a few flavorful ingredients mixed in. For some reason, I also find a beer chaser works very well with bloody bulls...one of those symbiotic relationships.

Let me dwell on my next venture and I'll be back later.

BadNick 11-07-2009 08:42 AM

sorry for my delay but I don't own a GPS and I got lost...errrr, I mean I never get lost but for a while there I just wasn't sure where I was.

Tully Mars 11-07-2009 10:38 AM

BadNick 11-07-2009 11:07 AM

Hey Tully, is Ida spanking you yet? I hope she doesn't blow you and get you too wet.

amonkie 11-08-2009 08:49 AM

Can't believe I haven't seen this thread yet... can I play?

You wouldn't be on the sofa with a guitar would you?

BadNick 11-08-2009 09:02 AM

amonkie, why am I suspicious of you showing up just as I mentioned spanking Tully? ...I rest my case.

yes I am on the sofa playing my Fender Mustang

....and I'll have you know it's an old one (like me) made in Japan, I inherited it from my daughter who gave it back to me in lieu of a debt; she wanted one "just like Kurt Cobain" but now she plays bass in her up and coming soon to be famous band, RVIVR, going on another tour around the western sofa pretty soon, about to have an album released, they already have some releases, and recently interviewed by a couple of mag rags the band likes.

Rumbletowne Records Source: Rumbletowne Records
There has been an art delay for MUTOID WORLD. So it goes: All pre-orders will be sent out at the end of November. BUT! Pre-release special spray-painted versions of MUTOID WORLD will be available on RVIVR's upcoming west coast tour.

amonkie 11-08-2009 09:13 AM

Maybe its because I wanted to watch! I hear Ida is great about making them squirm before she blows...

Wow... their sound is definitely not Nashville, but you still in Tennessee?

Tully Mars 11-08-2009 09:53 AM

Ida's missing me, but might be messing up my Thanksgiving plans.

Beautiful sunny day here.

So are you in Tenn?

BadNick 11-08-2009 10:05 AM

what did Tenna see? ...not me, since I'm not there.

uncle phil 11-08-2009 10:32 AM

BadNick 11-08-2009 04:07 PM
