...unc, no
...jet, yes (at least i'm 95% sure but i better check remote dialects) |
does your country contain an ancient pyramid?
|
...yes spanish
|
Peru?
|
are you in south america?
|
Oops... Have I cocked it up? Hahaha
|
...no ancient pyramid although there are mayan influences
...not in peru, although there are Inca influences ...not in south america :rose: |
I'm kinda baffled by that.
El Salvador? |
South America?
|
...not el slavador
:rose: ---------- Post added at 06:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:25 PM ---------- ...not south america :rose: |
Island?
|
...not an island
:rose: |
country that borders, or itself, is Guatemala?
|
...it does not border Guatemala and it isn't Guatemala itself.
(there's a mayan pyramid in guatemala) :rose: ---------- Post added at 06:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:37 PM ---------- ...i am in central america though :) |
I'm still trying to get not west of the Mississippi and on the Pacific figured out.
Central America? |
...yes, central america. My country is too far from the mississippi to be able to tell if it's east or west of it. If you went according to longitude, i would have to say it is slightly east of the mississippi
:rose: |
Costa Rica?
|
are you in El Salvador?
|
Panama?
|
...yes, Costa Rica (which is slightly east of the mississippi if following longitude)
...okay, now i'm not looking for a town or building. I'm looking for a general area and it's given name by a study that was done in the past few years and published in a wildly popular book (thanks to the endorsement by one of the most influential women in the world) by the same name that this region is referred to...in the study. It is one of the world's 5 discovered locations in this study. ...not panama but excellent guess, seeker :rose: |
Oprah book?
Nicoya Peninsula? |
...yes
...yes, but what region on the peninsula and what name is it referred to as in this study? ...you're so hot if i touch you you'll sizzle :rose: |
the palo verde national park?
|
Blue Zones?
|
...no, unc. The name of the region on the Nicoya Peninsula that i'm looking for is actually the same name as the book. The researcher and author was featured on Oprah but was also everywhere in the media because every human can learn and benefit from it's findings. This area is one of the five _ _ _ _ (space) _ _ _ _ s in the world. Fill in those two words and you've got a winner
:rose: |
So no to Blue Zones?
|
1 Attachment(s)
...YES! It's one of the five "Blue Zones" in the World (why did you think that would be a "no"?). The area is about 2 hours inland in an area that is about 70 miles long and 30 miles wide. There are five Blue Zones in the world where longevity is at it's highest and where the most centurians live. David Buettner is the reseacher and author. I don't have the time to find the website i was going to post but ya'll can google it.
"...the Nicoya Peninsula in the rain forest of Costa Rica...there are lots of very healthy centenarians there, in part because of the excellent hard water, which is full of calcium and magnesium, keeping their bones and muscles strong throughout their lives. A lot of physical labor still goes into food production there, from clearing fields to raise crops to picking fruit and grinding corn for tortillas, which is a great upper-body workout. In fact, people who live in this region have some of the best physical stamina in the world because they’re always on the move. People eat lots of corn, beans and squash, and there’s fresh fruit almost year-round. Another important piece of the longevity puzzle in Costa Rica and elsewhere is a sense of community and family ties. Older people live with their younger relatives, and those connections help keep people feeling young and in touch with their surroundings." You "GO", tully |
Interesting, very interesting. Almost moved to Costa Rica when I moved here but the boys (my dogs) were an issue.
Let me grab a rum and coke and go float in the pool and think of a good spot to hide. ---------- Post added at 09:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:43 PM ---------- Ok, find me! |

:rose: |
are you south of the Tropic of Cancer?
ps: Good one, Shell, and nice find, Tul. I'm hoping that my house is a Blue Zone since I plan to be a centenarian+. |
No ocean, north of CC.
|
...so your country is landlocked? (...i forgot to include seas above)
