I'm looking for a famous park, it is in a city

yes north of DC

Shell 06-02-2009 07:51 PM

...thank you for clarifying that for me, nick. I thought Phil was talking about route 40 as that runs horizontally as well.

...north of new york?

Tully Mars 06-03-2009 02:06 AM

Also you seem to pick up on the River being the Mississippi. I think I've also seen it called our lady or the lady.

You Mass?

uncle phil 06-03-2009 02:11 AM

atlantic coastal state?

Shell 06-03-2009 02:24 AM

...that's affirmative, Phil. Nick said he is east of the Mississippi and coastal and north of DC

(btw...that was interstate 40, not route 40 that i mentioned above)

..hmmm...a famous park in a city...Central Park in NY?

Tully Mars 06-03-2009 02:58 AM

Well he could be east of the river and not in a coast state, right?

Edit:

Gez, need more coffee this morning. Yes, he already said COASTAL. But that doesn't mean Atlantic coast, could be a lake coast.

You're right Shell.

BadNick 06-03-2009 03:37 AM

yes north of NYC

not MASS

not Atlantic coast

not Central Park

Cedar Point Amusement Park?

BadNick 06-03-2009 08:07 AM

there you go...you found me. You're up, Tul.

I'm looking forward to going to Cedar Point after my family reunion/bbq/picnic in a couple weeks.

Cedar Point is a 364-acre amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio, on a narrow peninsula jutting into Lake Erie. It currently holds the world record for most roller coasters (17), one of which, Top Thrill Dragster, is the world's second tallest and second fastest roller coaster, reaching speeds of 120 mph and a height of 420 feet. Cedar Point is also the only amusement park with four roller coasters that are taller than 200 feet. As of 2008, Cedar Point has more rides (75) than any other amusement park.

It also has a mile-long white sand beach, an outdoor water park (Soak City), an indoor waterpark and hotel (Castaway Bay), two marinas, several hotels, and Challenge Park, which features attractions such as go-karts and miniature golf. Known as "America's Roller Coast", Cedar Point has been voted "Best Amusement Park in the World" by Amusement Today for the past eleven years.

The park opened in 1870, and is the second oldest amusement park in North America after Lake Compounce.
