sorry, unc...it's consequences, since that's not where I am. Try another ~170 miles east-southeast and hurry up, it's so cool down here.

....though apparently the roads don't go through White Sands so you have to drive circuitously about 270 miles to get here, unless you have a dune buggy or sand rail with a big fuel tank and can cut through the desert...or maybe even a solar powered dune buggy.

When at the top of this page I said it reminded me of unc, it's because google maps calls it "Carlsbad Caverns, Uninc Eddy County, NM" ...so I presume "uninc" might mean unincorporated, but it just reminds me of unc.
