I can't find Kalahari national park on my atlas.

Kenya is the country. Huge national park between Nairobi and the Indian Ocean.

Tsavo is one of the largest national parks in the world. A favorite of those in search of a good old African Safari for decades. While a rail line was being built in 1898 from the coast to Nairobi two man eating lions, nick named "Ghost" and "Darkness" were responsible for some 130 deaths. The story was first a book then a film "The Ghost and the Darkness" starring Val Kilmer and Michael Douglas. The actual lions are stuffed and in the Natural History Museum in Chicago.

A group of us from my ship took a tour, it was like watching Wild Kingdom in real life. Only Mr. Perkins seemed missing. Elephants were every where. So were monkeys, they joined us for lunch. Here's what happens when you make fun of a monkey:

And yes that monkey is "happy" to see him, but didn't think much of the mocking:

That monkey chased him around for quite a while. I'd have more shots of the chase but I was laughing too hard and none of them came out. The monkey eventually tried and walked over grabbed his lunch and beer and walked off.

Tully, I wonder if that monkey was so happy to see you because your red shirt reminded him of those hot red-assed babe monkeys in estrous...and I can relate to being rejected and just going off to have a sandwich and a beer :(

That's not me in the photo. I'm running, rather poorly, the camera. I have no idea what color shirt, if any, I was wearing that day. Also can't remember his name, know he was in "E" division (electrician.) I was in the ships fire dept. or "flying squad."
