in the 1400's a law was set forth in england that a man was allowed to beat
his wife with a stick no thicker than his thumb. hence we have "the rule of
thumb..."

Tophat665 04-27-2008 06:32 AM

The use of "Raspberry" for the bilabial fricative (or Bronx Cheer, if you prefer) comes from Cockney rhyming slang, in which the first word of a two word phrase stands in for a word that rhymes with the second word of the phrase. In this case, Rasberry Tarts rhymes with Farts.

The world will soon be totally covered in pollen.

uncle phil 04-28-2008 03:34 AM

many years ago in scotland , a new game was invented. it was ruled
"gentlemen only...ladies forbidden"...and thus the word GOLF entered into
the english language....

BadNick 04-28-2008 11:24 AM

Golf is for unlawful carnal knowledge.

the first couple to be shown in bed together on prime time TV were fred and
wilma flintstone...

BadNick 04-29-2008 07:33 AM

Since Fred and Wilma Flintstone were a couple of the earliest ancestors of our human race, they must have done it a lot. And I thank them for it.

Ourcrazymodern? 04-29-2008 03:35 PM

I long for truth.

& I want it.

every day more money is printed for monopoly than the u. s. treasury....

Ourcrazymodern? 04-30-2008 07:14 AM

The U.S. Treasury debased itself completely in 1982.

BadNick 05-01-2008 06:24 PM

I hope there is no serious reason to worry.

coca-cola was originally green...

BadNick 05-02-2008 03:51 AM

Pistachio nuts are highly flammable when stored in large quantities and are prone to self heating and spontaneous combustion.

Caramel color is viewed as a good thing.

BadNick 05-02-2008 09:50 AM

Ourcrazymodern? speaks the truth. A nice rich vanilla ice cream covered with caramel is a very good thing.

BadNick 05-04-2008 09:07 AM

Michigan is currently the state with the highest unemployment rate, though Alaska is currently in second place.

I have five fingers on my left hand, and on my right, the count comes again to five; probability and common estimation would allow my presumption, of you, too, having the same characteristics as described above, a good wide margin of percentage, say 96%.

ring 05-04-2008 04:05 PM

My 87 year old next-door neighbor, who lives across the hall from me,
has the most beautiful sparkling blue eyes, full of life and humor.
He knocked on my door, to ask me if I wanted some of his pizza.

He is my good friend.
He knows I see the vibrance in his spirit, despite his infirmities of old age.

He is my treasure.
He is my teacher.
I am listening.

Mr. Roger's was never in the military. Captain Kangaroo was- but never saw combat. And Lee Marvin was shot in the ass on Saipan.

ring 05-05-2008 06:06 PM

Ourcrazymodern?, is one.
So am I.
So are you.

Why do you think, the dalai lama,
laughs so much?

We are all the genius of ourselves.

Then it's scarf three hot-dogs..two beers..and skinny dip,
and dive through the inner-tube. (watchout for that pokey valve thingie)

then as we lay in bed after a full day,
the thoughts and impressions play most perfectly disjointed.

I tried to talk to my third grade teacher about these thought patterns.

I could sense her skin quivering. She yearned to connect with me wholly.

I understand the constrictures she was bound by..in 1966.

When she looked into my eyes,
and I looked into hers,

the understanding bound us forever.

We smiled a knowing guileless rapture.

FUCKING....umm also.

oh.. junk food too, ..actually my favorite is to eat a tablespoon
of butter, S L O W L Y...

ya still readin' this?

hey..that's tepid shit.

The abutment suddenly appeared.

No, wait...

Flying buttresses support structures.
