Talking to mentally-challenged adults
This topic is somewhat serious, somewhat not. I don't mean "mentally-challenged" as an insult in any way. Do any of you have to converse with someone of that group on a regular basis? How do you do it? Any tips?

I consider us all to be mentally challenged, in one way or another, and then try to feel our oneness.

Thats what I meant when I said I talk to myself..
but you said it better. |
It is generally not that hard to talk with challenged individuals. Starting and continuing conversations is not all that difficult with them.

I fear an entire conversation will be made out of that one.
The "mentally-challenged" come in varying degrees, right? Our oneness challenges. |

As a CNA, I have to deal with really old, senile whackos who complain about everything and nothing. Sometimes they just find a corner in the facility and cry all day. It's a little easy to talk with them, when they have their teeth in, but they usually end up telling me about how their parents are going to pick them up in a few minutes or so and that they need to get ready for the return home. On bad days it can get annoying, but I love them anyways.
