The night sky at the Black Forest Star Party in Cherry Springs, PA. This is a true dark-sky site with no light pollution. The Milky Way, star clouds, and dark nebulae can all be seen easily. Single 55 second exposure at ISO 3200 at f/2.8. The Teapot asterism in Sagittarius can be seen in the center of the left-hand side of the photograph. Star clouds and dark nebulae in the Milky Way were easily visible to the unaided eye observing visually at this site. The "Dark Horse" dark nebula and Pipe dark nebula can easily be seen in the center of the photo. |
