Lovable scamp

hips
...aka rose hips http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...cs7/96rose.jpg PS...cute baby bunny. A few weeks ago I came out after dark to water some plants/flowers on my front steps and I see something rustle in my pacasandra and when I look closer it was a baby bunny even smaller than the one in that photo...then I notice there are two more! So they are pretty scared but can't/don't know to run away, I pick one up and take it in to show my wife and boys, who wanted to keep it since it was so cute...but I put it back, along with some food/lettuce/vegies. They lived right outside my door for another week or two and then disappeared. Now I see an adolescent bunny hopping around my driveway pretty often and I think it's the same one. |

Sacrifice of back & white
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2036/...228a84b962.jpg the sacrifice of Isaac by Shiralepic Binding of Isaac The Binding of Isaac, in Genesis 22:1-24, is a story from the Hebrew Bible in which God asks Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac on Mount Moriah. In Islam, Muslims believe that the Qur'an teaches that God's command to Abraham was to sacrifice his older son Ishmael rather than Isaac. The event is remembered on the 1st of Tishrei in the Jewish calendar and from the 10th - 13th of Dhu al-Hijjah in the Muslim calendar: on Eid ul-Adha. The narration is referred to as the Akedah (עקדה) or Akedat Yitzchak (עקידת יצחק) in Hebrew and as the Dhabih (ذبح) in Arabic. The sacrifice itself is called an Olah in Hebrew — for the significance of sacrifices, especially in Biblical times, see the korbanot. According to the narration, Abraham sets out to obey God's command without questioning. After Isaac is bound to an altar, the angel of the Lord stops Abraham at the last minute, at which point Abraham discovers a ram caught in some nearby bushes. Abraham then sacrifices the ram in Isaac's stead. Honorable Tangential Mention click to show |

Nazca Lines
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3149/...af7481b105.jpg Nazca FailWhale by Shovelling Son This recent discovery amongst the Nazca Lines in Peru only adds to the mystery of the FailWhale! The Nazca Lines were created around 2000 years ago...! Obviously the concept of 'Over Capacity' has been appreciated within human cultures for millenia! Because of their sheer scale, these lines can not be viewed or appreciated from the ground - only from the air! - and it is thought that they were created for the gods to view from above! Many theories of alien visitation and pre-modern flight are built around the existence of these vast images. Amongst the Spanish speaking peoples of Peru, this particular geoglyph is known as "La Ballena del Error" which is literally translated to "the mistake whale"... |
