Happy Canada Day!

I'm using the day off to clean my apartment. This place is a sty. But who knows, maybe I'll decide that the fireworks are worth my time and go tonight.

Here its Memorial Day. Marking the slaughter of hundreds of Newfoundland soldiers at Beaumont Hamel, WWI.

We're going to watch the Under-20 World Cup tonight as Canada plays Chile down at BMO field. Going wrapped in the flag!

finish it up by noon today and bring in the big dollars.

gotta like side jobs.

After moving into my new apartment I spent the afternoon listening to the Rheostatics, The Western Investor, Royal Wood, Joel Plaskett and a bunch of newly purchased Canadian music...

I also hoisted a couple of Mooseheads (it was the only Canadian beer I could get - it could have been much worse).

I will have to wait for National Day in August for fireworks...

Working on Canada day is kind of a Canadian thing to do, so no biggie for me. Still, without getting over-the-top patriotic, just being in Canada for Canada day (every year oof my life so far and counting) makes even the bad things good.

Happy Canada day, hope you did, mostly, what you wanted.

You know you live in Yellowknife when the largest contingent of the Canada day parade is a group of Walmart employees.

We installed our new over-the-stove microwave oven.

It was a pretty nice day actually.

sunny, no humidity, about 24 degrees, street party, with about $500 worth of fireworks, burgers, pulled pork, beer, potluck goodies....

yes, a very good Canada Day!

I spent the day with my wife. The kids (or at leat 2out of three) were at camp.
There are onyl about 2 days a year when we get a day like this.

I hope everyone enjoyed their day.
