Blood Brothers - Cecilia and the Silhouette Saloon
I don't mind the sun sometimes The images it shows I can taste you on my lips And smell you in my clothes Cinnamon and sugary And softly spoken lies You never know just how you look Through other people's eyes

i googled it myself. no luck. these are the exactl lyrics though... i guess i'll have to find someone who actually knows it.........
here's a hint, it's off one of the top albums on Pitchfork Media's top 50 of 2003, and the title of the song is the closest title on the album to the actual title OF the album.

Billy Talent - Nothing to Lose
I was born in a lighthouse. My mother was the sea. I'd go to school each morning when it occurred to me That life's just a mood ring you're not allowed to see And this is what it said to me...

OK, that's David Bowie, Life on Mars.
The <a href="http://slicks.ulyssis.org/coverdb/song/546.html">Cover Songs Database</a> has 2, possibly three artists covering it, Scala, Mannix, and Jasper Steverlinck & Steven and Stijn Kolacny. My turn: You'll take my life but I'll take yours too. You'll fire your musket but I'll run you through. So while you're waiting for the next attack, you better stand. There's no turning back. The bugle sounds the charge begins, but on this battlefield no one wins. The smell of acid, smoke, and horses' breath, as we plunge on in toward certain death. OOOOOOOOOH OOOOOOOOOH

<b>monody</b>, actually, you are wrong.
The Lyrics are from <a href="http://www.lyricsbox.com/todd-snider-lyrics-beer-run-4zxvzgd.html" target="new">Beer Run by Tom Snyder</a> <a href="http://www.leoslyrics.com/listlyrics.php?hid=PqjJU3qZUz4%3D" target="new">Garth Brooks and George Jones</a> have a song that has completely different lyrics. What happens now? Oh, I created the thread, I guess it is my call. ok, fine continue with <b>Tophat665</b>'s lyrics even though <b>monody</b> was completely wrong.

Yes! Yes - 've Seen All Good People
There's a cheesy atom bomb explosion all the big groups use.... Atomic light will shine through an old venitian blind making patterens on your face and the in cuts to outer space with its billions and billions and billions and billions... (Edited because it's the other Yes song with more or less that tune, and because I have fat, klutzy fingers.)

Frank Zappa- Be In My Video
I heard nice guys finish last But see this theory doesn't quite explain the reason I'm Letting y'all rat racers leave the gate ahead of time And still politely waiting for you at the finish line Some people find it so amazing how I put a rhyme Together and bring it to life like Dr. Frankenstein

Oh, that's lovely
M.O.D. - A.I.D.S. Striking out in a different direction we come to this lyric: The artist knew their faces well Husbands of his lady friends his creditors and councellors in armor bright the merchant men Official moments of the guild in poses keen from bygone days city fathers frozen there upon the canvas dark with age The smell of paint, a flask of wine And turn those faces all to me The blunderbuss and halberd-shaft And dutch respectability They make their entrance one by one Defenders of that way of life The redbrick home, the bourgeoisie Guitar lessons for the wife (I give you so much so you won't need google, I hope.)

Gary Jules - Mad World
Next: <i>Pick me up at half past none -- there's not a moment to lose. There is the train on which I came. On the platform are my old shoes. Station master rings his bell. Whistles blow and flags wave. A little of what you fancy does you good (Or so it should). I thank everybody for making me welcome. I'd stay but my wings have just dropped off.</i>

Metallica - One (My brother in law knew this one, not me)
new lyric: Just try to see in the dark Just try to make it work To feel the fear before you're here I make the shapes come much too close I pull my eyes out Hold my breath And wait until I shake But if I had your faith Then I could make it safe and clean If only I was sure That my head on the door was a dream

Pearl Jam - Many Fast cars
Try this one pups, from back in the day! Goodbye, little Robin-Marie Don't try following me Don't cry, little Robin-Marie 'Cause you know I'm coming home soon My ships' leaving on a three-year tour The next tide will take us from shore Windlaced, gather in sail and spray On a search for the mighty sperm whale Fly your willow branches Wrap your body round my soul Lay down your reeds and drums on my soft sheets There are years behind us reaching To the place where hearts are beating And I know you're the last true love I'll ever meet Starbuck's sharpening his harpoon The black man's playing his tune An old salt's sleeping his watch away He'll be drunk again before noon Three years sailing on bended knee We found no whales in the sea Don't cry, little Robin-Marie 'Cause we'll be in sight of land soon
