Japanese Personality Test
You are in a desert. You have five animals with you:
· Lion · Monkey · Sheep · Cow · Horse To escape the desert you are going to have to get rid of all of the animals – one at a time…In what order do you “drop” the animals? I'll post what the animals represent later.. if you know what they represent.. keep it to yourself... just pick the animals order in which you are going to get rid of them and wait... my answers (andi decided these before i knew the answers) · Lion - because he'd eat me · Monkey - because it serves no useful purpose - Sheep - mmm food · Cow - milk · Horse - transportation1

Monkey
Cow Lion Sheep Horse I have my own personal reasons for that ordering as I am sure everyone will come up with they're own order. How did I do? am I wise and all knowing? Compassionate? cold calculating and ruthless? And what exactly is Ruth anyway? I have never herd someone described as being ruthfull... On the other hand, I do still have one of them left, and it is the left since I usually use my right hand first, what if I were to choose to not kill them to escape the desert? the thought did cross my mind, but as it was not listed as an option it is not my official answer. Not too an unpleasant an option. I get along well with animals, sometimes better then with allot of humans. Very likely why I whacked the monkey first, too human to keep around longer then nessesary. |

Lion goes first so he doesn't eat all my food (I love lions, though, nothing personal)
Next, the monkey...they're cute but high maintenance and serves no purpose Sheep comes next....mmmm...lamb chops and a nice poncho for those cold desert nights. Cow...get my milk, have a steak or two..make some coverage for the feet so I can ride the... horse outta there.

What's the water situation? If you're in a desert with all these animals and no water you won't have to worry about the lion eating your food animals, they'll all die anyway.
Sheep Monkey Cow Lion Horse

Ok - and the results of the quiz... please
Each of these five animals represent a Japanese Archetype – and the desert represents hardship. What each of the animals represent is here.. don't peak until you've decided what order to drop the animals... Spoiler: The animals represent . . . Lion - Pride Monkey - Your Children Sheep - Friendship Cow - Basic Needs Horse - Your Passion So, in the face of hardship, you will sacrifice each of these things in turn. Your last animal represents that thing which you cling to at the expense of all others.

(I'm assuming I can't eat them or ride them) Sheeps and cows would slow me down. Monkey is 3rd to go because theyre annoying and throw poo. Horses are nice and can keep up so theyre 2nd to last. If I have a lion I assume I have control over it and therefore having a lion roam free would be the last one I'd want to release.

there's nothing in the directions that says you can't eat them.. it just says you have to get rid of them one by one.. what "get rid of" means is entirely up to you..
Using your interpretations.. it's actualy interesting because if you see what the lion represents (check the spoiler) ask yourself if you really do have control of that?

Okay, I haven't looked at the spoiler yet, but I went with the same order as mal
Lion - it'll eat the other animals Monkey - it will just goof off and make jokes all day Sheep - all that wool in the desert? Way too freakin' hot to have around. Cow - milk if I get thirsty Horse - hop on and gallop outta the desert.

I like my choices too. Not too keen on kids and all so I didnt mind seeing them go first! After I posted my answer I went of did a search for the meanings not wanting to wait. its all good.
I think it is a little.... off for western society though, I can see alot of people keeping the horse arount longest just because its a horse and transportation, with no deeper meaning than that. |

I'm going to assume that i'll survive no matter which order i lose the animals. Mainly i'm just keeping them around for entertainment.
Sheep Cow Lion Monkey Horse I'd keep the monkey til last, but i'm guessing i'll be bored of him when it comes to the last two animals. edit: hmm, i only kept the horse cause i figured it'd be easier than walking. Laziness = Horse = ..., i guess.

I think it's kinda strange how everyone is picking horse as last, since they assume they need it to ride out of the desert and be lazy/alive. assuming that I had control over all the little critters, I would let the lion eat them all and then ride the lion out, not in any real order
Monkey, Sheep, Cow, Horse, from big to small. Go lion, GO!
