Thanks.

Though, most people I know do their big eating on the Sunday and relax on Monday.

In my case however, I have to do a bit of work around the homestead, then head off to work to catch up on the never ending cycle.

sigh...

I think I'm going to take a page from the Canadians and celebrate Thanksgiving twice next year.

Why not...

I ran an extra 2 KM this morning to compensate for all the food I ate. Man what a feast! (and the Leafs finally won a shoot-out!)

we had a ton of leftovers... that I decided to have a full thanksgiving dinner more than once... and for both lunch and dinner. And this marks the start of the "festive" season. First Hallowe'en and then Christmas there after,

It was indeed the entire pig. Crackling roasted, layed out with the head & feet still on. Done Chinese style. I've got a picture, I'll dig it out tonight and post it.

I learned that a pigs are only called pigs upto 120 pounds in weight, after that they are referred to as hogs.

a few days later: Okay, i found my pic of the pig:

We had a lovely dinner with our best friends on Sunday, and then on Monday, went down to visit my mom's extended family for a golf tournament (we're all terrible) followed by dinner.

I'm soo stuffed. Now for the leftovers...

That sounds about right...my favorite dish is stuffing, mashed potatoes, turkey, all covered in gravy and butter and heated up in the microwave, then stirred together. Mmmmm.

Sadly I missed Thanksgiving entirely. I was away on business in France and didn't even get to source out a Canadian Thanksgiving in Singapore...

I did recieve word that the feast at the cottage was excellent.

I can't wait to move into my own place so I can start cooking again. I am going to have a big dinner party and you are all invited (you pay the airfare and I will supply the bed and feed).
