I'm in the lovely modern city of Kenora trying to find a place that is open on a Monday night.

We go to the Whistling Monkey, an establishment I have been too before as it is near the air dock.

Well a cute blonde girl in her twenties is our server type. I noticed there was something odd with her finger and asked what was wrong.

It seems she broke it, and a friend made a homemade splint. She was thinking of maybe seeing a doctor.

She then takes a six person order without writing anything down, and got it all right.

So we have a cute woman with long blonde hair in her mid 20's who goes to work despite having a broken finger in a home made splint and she MIGHT go see a doctor?

I bet she has a sweet boat and motor too

thats dedication. I hope you tipped well.

my guess on the not writing your order down, is that she did is as soon as she walked away from your table.
I work @ a restaurant and many of the servers do this, some think it makes it seem more professional.

Many moons ago I worked as a waiter which is why I was impressed. This was a 6 person order with substitutions and how the meat should be cooked, so I knew it was above and beyond normal.

I am not sure what "sounds stupid"...

1) the waitress working with a broken finger?
2) her ability to take complex orders without a pad?
3) Socialism involves work?
4) that some get this backwards?
5) that Ustwo is allowed into Canada?
