Veinson Jerky
I'm looking for some good Venison Jerky recipies. I have lots of Venison and hubby loves Jerky but it's so expensive. I've found a few recipies but they require a lot of garlic - I'm not keen on the garlic so much. Anything more like a Southwestern flavors or just a Peppered Jerky Marinade would be nice. I have been reading up a little and read that recipies with a little vinegar in them are good for wild game because the vinegar tones down the gamey flavor a little. Venison apparently is perfect foer Jerky because it is so lean.
I searched and found little on making jerky at all. Any ideas, marinades, or general dehydrating tips would be appreciated.
