Hosstes Fruit Pie recipe?
A while back I found this reciepe in a magazine, it was called Mr. Food Fast and Easy Cooking. Basically it was a homemade verison of a Hostess fruit pie.
Now I'm going to try and recreate it, from memory. I'm pretty such it is a can of premade biscuits, fruit filling. Spilt a biscuit in half roll it out put fruit on one side fold over and press down with a fork. ANd I beilive brush with melted butter. I'm wondering, what kind of sugar should I try? I was thinking of powder sugar. And should I cook it for whatever time the biscuit says? Thanks. |
Powdered sugar sounds great for that, and in order to cook the "fruit pies' thoroughly, you should cook them as long as the packaging tells you to.
