raw brownie mix? raw cookie dough?
 

So i found myself in the chat last night eating away at a full box of brownie mix made batter. Naturally we all got into a little argument which is better...... which do you prefer?

They both taste great but I don't dig eating raw eggs.

I say fuck worrying about raw eggs. Humans survived a long-ass time eating raw stuff that the other animals left behind, and we're still around. <grin>

Ever eat steak tartare or ikura (salmon roe sushi) with a raw quail egg on top? good stuff.

And i bet that the dough that's in chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream doesn't have raw eggs in it for legal reasons. That shit rocks!

I like to make my brownies from scratch, and so the brownie mix itself is very delicious...not powdery tasting like instant stuff. There's a point where it's just eggs, chocolate, sugar and butter mixed together--and it may not be very healthy, but it sure is delicious!

I like the raw cookie dough. I know we're not supposed to eat raw eggs, but like carnivore said, we made it a long time eating raw stuff, and it usually doesn't cause problems so the hell with it.

raw is fine, it's just a matter how you handle the stuff that will make you sick or not.

Why should raw eggs be bad? they taste great with lemon and salt :P

I like the cookie dough, but I also am not a big one for raw eggs, actually I am allergic to them and they make me sick. So usually if I have the cookie dough, I get sick. But it is still good!

I'm real big into making sure my food is well done. I hate nothing more than under cooked food.

if you're gonna make cookie dough just to eat raw, just leave out the eggs. It doesn't taste any different, and it's a whole lot better for you :)

cookie dough is the bomb!

I like a little of both when it comes to brownies - I leave some batter aside so I can put it on top 5 minutes before they're ready. Makes for delicious icing. As for cookies I prefer gooey Mrs. Fields type cookies, it's also a raw/cooked compromise.
