italian food
but traditional german isnt bad either ( maybe thats because im german ^^) |
The variations in Chinese cooking make it truly something special. Japan is good, but I'm allergic to seafood, so I can't really comment. Italian is nice, and so is French. All are good, so good, in fact, that I am going to build a stadium, where I will employ the finest chefs, who will cook with the finest ingredients. Challengers will be invited, but only one will wear the coveted title of...Oh, sorry. Got carried away. My bad.

Chinese cooking is really good, although I eat it everyday, I still enjoy it. Japanese is also good, their meals are lighter, which are more on the seafood side, but their steak is probably one of the best. Korea, my favourite food. Spicy stuff, got to love spicy stuff. I enjoy it, you also end up sweating while you're eating so you don't really gain weight! ^^

I would have to go with Spain.

who on earth voted for USA
edit: there's no skill to make a BBQ hamburger. some of you need to watch iron chef or something |
Shame that Thailand, Morocco, and India weren't mentioned. In order to vote, I asked myself, which countrey's food would I be least likely to tire of. I've reached burnout on Chinese, Japanese and French bore me these days, Italian is best in its most pure simplicity of grilled meats and pastas. Come to think of it, as mentioned above, there really isn't a distinct USA cuisine, so maybe it shouldn't even be on the list. Let's re-do the poll, taking USA off and adding Thailand, Morocco, and India?
|
No shit...USA is the best country concerning food? Give me a break. They shouldn't even have been put on the list as far as I'm concerned. BBQ? It ain't just an American thing ya know.
|
I voted chinese food, thought a little sick of it sometimes, being chinese and eating it pretty much everyday. Second would prolly be american food.
|
Italian has to be on top really. Maybe my opinion is slightly biased since i just had a great home made lasagne.
I've never actually tried Japanese food.. as least not knowingly. French food doesn't really agree with me. I find myself eating more english style food when i'm over there. The crepe things are ok though. I have chinese every weekendish, it can be really nice, but can also suck. Makes a change from other things though. If i had to go out for a meal, Chinese would probaly be a prime choice next to Italian. When i was in the USA, they spoil your meal by giving you 5 meals worth all at once. You don't want to share with someone, but can't eat it all yourself. So you try and try and feel like crap afterwards. Plus i can't really think of anything special i couldn't get in England anyway. |
lemme say chinese food can be horrible if they can't cook, and if you order 'western chinese' food like: sweet and sour pork, fried rice, honey chicken, any other fried stuff, anything with those prawn chip things. they aren't proper chinese food.

Indian, then Italian.

Italian......all the way, NO question. Been living over here 3+ years....and never plan on leaving!

Italian food definately gets my vote.
They keep it Simple and delicious. Not the burrito way, but Carlito's way. |
I have to be biased and say that I really love the food generally in my country, Portugal. It's not often that you can get it wrong here. Seriously, all these other countries are good too, but in Portugal you can eat almost anywhere and it'll be very good, and most people can cook well too. We have a good blend of our own cuisine with rich and flavour-full dishes, and also a bit of the mediterranean cuisine everyone has talked about. From fresh fish and seafood to juicy meats, side dishes, desserts, pastries and cakes, soups, etc. we have a good thing going. Anyone who hasn't tried should come and see what it's about! If anyone would like to know what would be typical food from here, I'm open to requests.

I'm going to have to go with Italian. I've never experienced flavors more bold than those of real Italian food.

Escargot is so good. Pain au Chocolate, c'est bon. Crepes avec buerre et sucre are also tasty and cheap. Boeuf Borginion (orthografie?). Actually all French food just plain rules.
