Giant Cholula!!

here

crfpilot 08-21-2004 04:18 PM

I've seen the giant bottle that's painted on the inside at a restaurant, I was like "I WANT THAT BOTTLE" and they wouldn't give it to me. I thought it was full of hot sauce and would have made a great gift for my dad, later I found it on the internet and found out it wasn't hot sauce :( That inflatable is crazy $3100.....damn.

toid333 08-21-2004 07:56 PM

Franks here too.

They now have the chile w/lime that is Great for cooking chicken or seafood. Awsome!!

Their newest is called Hotter. It is different than the original ( which I almost use like katsup) I love seeing peoples faces when I cover something with it.

pan6467 08-21-2004 08:24 PM

Good ol' McIlhenny's Tabasco is my personal fave. Esp. the Habanero, but it is very hard to find.

Franks is my second choice because it is cheaper and almost as good just not as hot. The Extra Hot Franks mixed with habaneros, crushed red pepper and some cayenne pepper powder in chili.... now that's good eats.

Tdoggg 08-22-2004 01:23 PM

Im a big Louisiana hot sauce fan myself... We go through about a bottle a week! Its not super hot but just right for my taste....

qtpye4u84 08-22-2004 03:10 PM

Franks is good and so is what kelly c posted I have both in my house. Taco bells fire sauce is good lol.

Bought some of that shit in a "local" grocery in downtown Seattle...You wanna talk about hot? Ought to be illegal... Don't have a pic of the bottle, but my favorite for hot, and good is "Clearly Hot Sauce", perfectly clear; and "Bite Me", a tomato based sauce.

Buzz 08-23-2004 06:02 AM

I like "All of the Above"... But use Redhot for my wings.. with a few things added.

absorbentishe 08-23-2004 08:49 AM

My everyday sause is Franks. I try new sauses all the time. Can't remember the best one's though... Cholula is really good as well.

Jonnymax 08-25-2004 05:21 PM

The Rooster sauce for heating up any asian cuisine and Tapatio for everything else!

Thai chilis in fish sauce is damn good too.

Im using Ass Kicking Cajaun Right now...

http://www.cherokeetrade.com/image/asskickin.gif

Its not my favorite.
Cholula is my favorite for most things though. I absolutley love it on my pizza. For some reason my pizza tastes suddenly changed. I like em full of vegetables, topped with pepers and drenched in Cholula. Oh god that sounds good.

rockzilla 08-31-2004 11:38 AM

I like Dave's Gourmet line of hot sauces. The Roasted Red Pepper is my favorite. I've also got a bottle of Frank's and a bottle of that crazy rooster sauce, but I don't use those as much.

splck 08-31-2004 01:44 PM

It's a paste rather than a sauce, but I love Sambal.

Plaid13 08-31-2004 09:18 PM

Daves insanity sauce is great if you just want a real spicey meal or using a few drops in a big recipe to make everything spicy but lousiana hot sauce or tabasco is what i dump on breakfast =)

lightsaberboy 08-31-2004 10:40 PM

it's all about Tapatio...

omega2K4 09-01-2004 06:17 PM

I used this stuff a guy I knew once had called "The Source Hot Sauce", supposedly the world's hottest hot sauce @ 7,000,000 something Scoville units. The box said "use only as an additive, do not eat directly". I should have listened. That shit was ridiculously hot, and I have a pretty high hot taste tolerance. Avoid it at all costs.

QuasiMojo 09-01-2004 08:45 PM

Straight from Belize

carrot based Supah Sass

davik 09-02-2004 01:22 AM

Little bit of everything for me, melinda's is good for some things, tobasco/frank's is appropriate for others. By and large though I don't use that much hot sauce; I tend to just add chiles to whatever I'm cooking till it's the way I like it.

I use the same thing. You can't beat the price and it adds a nice flavor and heat to anything.
