I have tried them ALL and I've found that different beers go with different meals or situations, but if someone says, "I'm buying!" I'm usually ordering a Dos Equis Special Lager. There's something to be said about German brewers making Mexican beer. It has just the right amount of quality, but no so much flavor that it overpowers you.
Guiness is good if I'm hungry.

All time favorite is Bell's Oberon the summer brew from a microbrew in Kalamazoo MI.

I'll drink just about anything The Champagne of Beers is always a favorite Miller High Life and I usually like just about any Hefewiezen. (I have no idea if I spelled that right)

RainbowBright, you certainly chose the right brewery; Bell's stuff is amazing. My all time favorite is their Consecrator Dopplebock; it's expensive, but worth every cent. Unfortunately they only make the stuff a half month out of every year :P

I know this is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous, I'm very very aware of it, but....

I won't drink Molson anymore. I'm sorry I won't. I want my beer 100% Canadian. I KNOW it's the same beer. I KNOW nothing has changed, but.... thats me.

The prob? Well up here in the boonies its tough to get much else. Remember in Yellowknife a 6 pack is 15 bucks, so I'm relegated to Kokanee till I can move down south again. My fave used to be Extra Old Stock.

Sooooooooon I'll be drinking my microbrews again. Good god I'd sell my wife off for a pint of Palamino Pale.

Almost any British ale suits my fancy. Fuuler's ESB is awesome and you can always get a Newcastle. Can't go wrong with Guiness. Guess I like most micro brews that are darker. I've had that Kalamazoo stuff and it is good!

Anything kinda brown. New Castle, Bass. If I'm traveling to places that have lots of micro-brews, then I always try the house/local brew. Oregon is great for this as well as Colorado. I'm in NC, so we don't have squat for micro-brew. Not sure if this one qualifies as a micro, but Fat Tire, Ft. Collins, CO. is a great beer. My preferred choice, if I can get it.

My top 5 in no particular order...

Black Sheep Ale (UK)
Guiness (Ireland)
Coopers Sparkling (Australia)
Manns Original Brown Ale (UK)
and there are times when you just can't beat a Stella.

In fact pretty much anything cold, brown and fizzy works well

Guinness, followed closely by Newcastle.

Surprisingly enough, Guinness is lighter (has less carbs and calories) than Coors Light. Interesting bit of trivia for ya.

Corona! MGD if the place doesn't have Corona. Avoid Bud beers at all cost... I get a headache after 1 bottle. Can't stand it. I'm getting to the point where although Coors Light commercials look like a fun time, I'd much rather be in a Corona commercial. They're more my speed nowadays.

Overseas I like to drink Strongbow Cider, I love finding it on tap in little pubs.

I just had a Sam Smith "Nut Brown Ale" which was very, very good stuff. Smooth. At the same place (they have a lot of different beers) I had a Hooe Gaarden (Sp?). It's German, very light in color, and has a buttery, smooth flavor. Very nice. But again, the Sam Smith was awesome

Can't stand Sam Adams, Corona, or Belgian Cherry Banana Wheat Special Reserve Brew.
Give me Franziskaner Heffeweizen, Warrsteiner, or any dunkel from Bayern.
It's like a whole goddamn meal in a beer.

Black Star was my favorite ale. Crips, strongly hopped. Good stuff.

Celebrator was my favorite dark, being a good thick doppel boch. Strong hopping, good bitter chocolate/coffee tones.

Makes me wish I still drank ;-)

Killians is great, though I find it hard to drink, as it's brewed in colorado. Feels like I'm cheating.

Guiness and Harp. Great alone. A perfect combo. Mix half and half carefully for a "Black 'n' Tan" Harp on TOP of the Guiness.

Fantastic taste. Great darkness of Guiness combined with the smoother flavor of Harp's. I wouldn't try a black 'n' tan with other beers, cause it rarely comes out right. Ends up tasting like muddy beer.

i've seen alot of people choose corona for their favorites. i have a question for ya'll. do you drink it with or without the lime? to me, a beer that has to be drank with something else diminishes the quality of the beer. does the mexican beer not taste good without the lime? do you drink the other beers with lime? just curious
