Recipe of the Day - May 12 (bean dip)
 

Spicy Cheesy Bean Dip

Ingredients
16 oz. can jalapeno refried beans
1 cup salsa (medium or hot)
3/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
8 oz. American cheese (cut into chunks)
16 oz. ground breakfast sausage (optional)

Preparation
Brown sausage in a small skillet over medium or low heat.

While sausage is browning, empty beans into a medium microwave-save bowl. Add salsa, cheddar cheese and American cheese. Stir until mixed.

Microwave bean mixture 7-10 minutes or until cheese is melted; stirring occasionally.

Add browned sausage to bean mixture and stir.

Serve with tortilla chips.

This sounds great. I wonder if chorizo sausage would work as well?
