Anyone had the Hardees (Carl Jr) thickburger?

I'm looking at an ad for these right now. I'm not a huge fan of Hardees, or Carl Jr depending on locale. But they come in 1\3, 1\2, or 2\3 pound sizes. I want to know if they're any good before I waste my money on them.

Carls has the $6 burger. Is it called something different at Hardee's? I do have to say the Western Bacon Cheeseburger is one of the best there. Onion rings, bacon, BBQ sauce on the burger=tasty

Must be a Hardee's only thing, or maybe they are testing it in your area. Like edmos1 mentions, Carls Jr has the $6 burger (which costs $3.95, go figure) and it's good, but not as good as the Western Bacon Cheeseburger.

What I'd like to see is the $6 Western. Now THAT would be tasty!

Hardee's is making major changes. If you don't like something
they will bend over backwards to make it right. Their burgers are top notch.

Hardess has the Six Dollar burger for $3.95 too. They have slammers that are similar to White Castles too. I havent had any of their burgers, but I still think they have the best breakfast of all the fast food chains.

They are not bad and they are a reasonable attempt at a "bar" burger. The one complaint I have, they are overcooked and a lttle dry. I don't know if that is just my Hardees, or a function of fast food E coli lawsuit fears.

Carl's Jr. has the best burgers...mmm...the nearest one to me is a 20-minute drive one way but we still go on weekends because it's soooo good. If Hardees has the same burgers, I'd go for it. Carl's Jr. burgers are my favorite fast food burgers. :)

I miss Carl's Jr.. ranks up there close to IN-N-OUT....

yabobo 05-16-2003 01:59 AM

I've never heard of Carl's Jr before..I've been around too. What is a Carl's Jr and locations??

Mister Coaster 05-18-2003 09:28 AM

Carl's Jr. is a fast food place with char-broiled burgers. They started in Southern California. I'm not sure how far they go now, but I know for a long time they were only in Southern Cal.

I know that Hardee's was never in SoCal, and that their logo rescently changed to include a star with a happy face, that star is Carl's Jr's logo. I think Carl's bought Hardee's which is why they are having so many changes like you mentioned before, yabobo.

Thanks Mister Coaster.:)
I've never visted California only changed planes in Oakland.
I have noticed the star added to the logo,so your
probably right.

Yes, Hardees and Carls Jr. are owned by the same company. I still think Hardees is nasty though.
