im going to purchase a new mixer the main purpose will be for mixing protein shakes......


so it should be able to chop ice and fruit easily.....

I'd probably steer clear of the ones on the Infomercial, things are rarely as good as they appear.

I've had a Waring Pro bar blender for years that makes awesome frozen drinks, and smoothies as well - it blends everyhting
-plus it's great for soups and stuff - it's not got a lot of bells an whistles, but it's a blender, not a nucleur reactor.
