Spicy Beef and Noodles
This is my atempt at oriental cooking with what little food I had, it was great.
This cooks for 1-2 people. It can be multiplied for more if you want. 5 oz Beef, chicken, or pork 1 package hot and spicy rommin 1 small can water chestnuts 1/2 can been sprouts 4 cloves garlic 1/2 medium onion 1/2 can peas OPT dried chillies for more heat corn starch slurry olive oil Marinade (all amounts are aproximate) olive oil (3 ounces) balsamic vinager (2 ounces) soy sauce (3 ounces) tarakki sauce (4 ounces) dried chilli pepper (2 god shakes of the bottle) ground pepper ( to taste) tabasco sauce (3 drops) garlic powder (3 good shakes of bottle) dehydrated onions 2 table spoons) 2 garlic cloves crushed OPT chilli peppers (dehydrated or fresh) Cut up the beef (or other meat) and put it in a bowl with the marinade. Set it aside and let it work its magic. Cut up the onion in very thin strips. Crush the garlic cloves and set that asside with the onion. Make the rommin acording to directions. For the added heat throw some peppers in the water while it is starting to boil. Then remove them when the rommin is done. Now seporate the noodles from the water do not discard anything. Add one more cup of water to the noodle water. Bring it to a boil. Thicken with the slurry. Set asside. In a large skillet heat up the olive oil and start to satue the onions. After a minute or 2 add the garlic. 1 min after that add the peas, water chestnuts, and bean sprouts. Continue to cook till everything is warmed through. Add the noodles (they have probably gotten a little cold by now) and slowly toss them in and let them warm too. At the same time that you start the cooking of the veggies start to warm a smaller pan for the meat. Drain most of the marinade off of the meat. Put olive oil in the pan and cook the meat. Once the meat is cooked put ht emeat, and only the meat, in with the viggies and noodles. Continue to reduce what is left in the pan. Once that has reduced for a minute or 2 put that and the noodle water sauce in with the veggie/noodle mixture. Serve and enjoy.
