I like frozen for some and canned for others. Started doing my own canning last year with a pressure cooker, which I purchased for quick cooking. That stuff tastes really good and frsher than frozen to me. Pressure cookers are cool.

There was some segment on some current affairs show that said frozen vegetables are in some cases better than fresh, because it's picked than frozen pretty shortly after..
But it really depends what your using.. Tomato,Beans,CreamedCorn- Canned ANything other- Frozen ... What about frozen cans?? Ahh....

I always go Frozen, I think they taste better personally.
But, buy good quality flash frozen veggies. Don't just pick up the cheapest peas or beans or whatnot you can find, because they definately will taste cheaper.

only canned veggies are corn and beans.... everything else just mushes out....

Go to a good organic supermarket (they're popping up all over the states so there should be one in your area) and pick up some of their frozen vegetables.
Make sure the package says "flash frozen". If vegetables and fruit aren't frozen in this manner (extremely quickly) than they get mushy when thawed. I think you'll find these types of frozen vegetables (organic, flash frozen) are far superior to anything canned. |
