Recipe of the Day - August 22 (spiced yogurt fruit dip)
Spiced Yogurt Fruit Dip
Ingredients 12 ounces fat free vanilla yogurt 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated orange zest 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 1-2 tablespoons honey (adjust to taste) Preparation Whisk all ingredients together in a bowl. Chill the dip for at least an hour before serving, to allow the flavors to develop. Makes 1 1/2 Cups Nutritional Information per 1/4 cup Calories 64 Protein 3g Carbohydrates 13g Fat 0g Saturated Fat 0g Cholesterol <2mg Sodium 38mg Calcium 75mg (8%DV) |
Substituting finely ground white pepper would work well too.
This would go great with a platter of fresh sliced peaches, pears, bananas, granny smith apples, mango, and melon. I have got to stop reading the food forum. I'm really hungry now. |
