Christine Cushing, without a doubt. And the food is only a small portion of the reason... :suave:
|
I just love watching Nigella... err, I mean, her show, yes...
|
I love Good Eats (and just bought Alton's book) and A Cook's Tour. I also like Opening Soon, Cooking School, Nigella (nice to look at but I also like her cooking style), and Everyday Italian (pretty much only because Giada is stunningly gorgeous). I liked Follow That Food but I haven't seen it on for a while.
If I watch Emeril for more than 3 seconds, I can feel the vomit rising. Bam! All over the TV. |
Floyd.. and his trips.
He just gets absolutely fucking wankered everywhere and takes the piss outta his cameraman, soundman, producer, director, locals.. etc. and cooks shit food. Well mostly cooks shit food, some of it's nice. The show makes me laff though. |
two gas bags i can't stand are "emeril dead" and bobby flay - a couple of "chefs" that add too much shit and that's all you can taste - shit...
and that 4 foot tall blonde drives me nuts with her shmarmy blather... the queen mother of them all - martha "i wanna throw up" stewart |
30 minute meals and $40 a day both with Racheal Ray
I also like the IRON CHEF.. |
I always liked watching the best of... and IRON CHEF too
|
i watch a bunch of cooking shows. i love cooking!
on foodnetwork, food 911 and tyler's ultimate are recent goodies. i also like naked chef (more than oliver's twist), good eats (he always gives good info on equipment), east meets west, molto mario, everyday italian, galloping gourmet, and iron chef. on pbs, i used to watch julia child, jeff smith, martin yan, tommy tang, and jacques pepin. too bad about jeff smith... |
Good Eats, Iron Chef, and Justin Wilson's Cajun Cooking.
Justin was cool. |
Worlds Greatest Chefs, it use to come on Discovery Channel. Anywho i just watched for the desserts.
|
"License to Grill" is quite entertaining, the host seems like the guy that host "Top 5"
|
I really like Iron Chef and Good eats, just because of the theatrics in both. I also really like anything involving Wolfgang Puck, just because of his persona.
Although, Jamie Oliver's shows are always pretty interesting...of course you can't forget all the classics: Epicurious, the Great Chefs series or whatever its called...and, oh yeah, any of the pastry competitions...or just the Culinary Olympics...okay, I admit, I love almost any cooking show! |

Yan Can Cook rocked; I'm not a big fan of cooking shows because frankly I have better recipes than most of them, but that show was good. |
Gotta say, from what I've seen of emeril I'm not terribly impressed; he seems to be mostly show and alot of his stuff when I think about how he does it just doesn't seem that interesting, but then again I'm a much bigger fan of asian cooking.
|
Almost everything from foodtv, Martha Stewart is an exception..
|
i accualltly dont mind Martha Stewart, some of that shit looks really cool
Agreed Majik, gotta love the competitions, i remeber they had a Chili cook-off a bit back |
Iron Chef rocks.
We actually did an Iron Bartender at Burning Man back in '98. Turned out pretty well but I was just glad I didn't have to drink the tomato and lime juice concoction with Tequilla and Natural Light. Gag. |
easy ... Emeril Live.
|
Emeril has gone way past entertaining. He used to be great but now all he does is dance around and shout "Look at me, look at me...I'm so cool!" Every time he says "garlic" the audience goes oooooh, aaaaahhh. What's up with that!? I think he keeps them in the room for 24 hours so their really starving when the show starts.
The best is Good Eats. That guy makes cooking interesting, almost like it's a science project. |
30 minute meals, simply because Rachael Ray is damn fine. Oh, if anyone hasn't seen this yet; This months FHM magazine with non other than miss Ray herself.

Iron Chef!! Hai Yahh!!
|
I don't normally watch a lot of cooking shows, but I will sit through Emeril live because it's so entertaining... Also Iron Chef is good.
|
Good Eats is the only one that I go out of my way to watch. I've been going back and forth on whether or not I should spend $150 on the DVD's.
|
Iron Chef of course! Where else do you think I got my screen name?
Haven't watched a complete episode in a while though :-/ My goal is to become an iron chef of my own. I think I'm off to a good start and I love learning more about cooking and trying new things. |
Good Eats and Molto Mario are my favorites.
|
I like most of the shows on the Food Network, it probably is in the top three of channels I watch ( and I wonder why I am so fat?). The Iron Chef voices are creepy and I really dont need to know ten different ways to prepare fugu and calimari.
Emeril seems cool, needs someone to write new routines though, he is getting tiresome ( USE THE KNOB!!, MY FLOUR DONT COME SEASONED!). Dont these guys use an incredible amount of salt? |
Good Eats is by far my favorite. Alton Brown goes beyond just how to make things and tells you the why. Plus he finds great cooking applications for everyday household items. AB's the best.

When I lived in Europe I used to watch Floyd all the time, he was hillarious - a total drunk. I wish they showed him here. |
Rachel on FHM?!?!? she looked chunky on TV :?
Jamies Kitchen is really funny to watch |
The Naked Chef is my favorite, he makes it look like so much fun and I actually pick up a tip or two. The two fat ladies were great as well - they always ended up smashed by the end of the show!
|
IRON CHEF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! iron chef punches all the other cooking shows in the face
|
i've watched a few.
but, i tend to only watch Good Eats and The Naked Chef on any given day. thank god for Tivo. |
Rachael Ray is definately worth it for the 30 minute stuff.

I must admit I've become pretty addicted to Jamie's Kitchen. I think its a great reality type show. Some of those people he is forced to work with are totally useless!
|
yan can cook- also the burgermeister for LAUGHS
|
the 2 best shows are the galloping gormet and good eats their just funny and make things easy for the viewers to get
|
Emeril is a terrific chef, all you have to do is go back to some early shows he did with Julia Child to see how knowledgeable he is. But, the format of his show is irritating. I can't stand the cut aways to the audience looking on in awe as he, say, cuts up some garlic, or pours some liquor into a pot.
My vote also goes to Good Eats as the most watchable and informative show. By the way, if anyone wants to see what I look like, in February, Bobby Flay FoodNation is going to have a show on Houston that features a crawfish boil hosted by me in our backyard. |
Nigella does something special for me too, but I used to watch Justin Wilson and the frugal gourmet alot.
