Romantic Dinner For Two

So what is your perfect romantic dinner? There are so many options and, of course, a simple hamburger with some one you love can be romantic. Sometimes the place makes a difference or the time of day.
This is one of my favorites....
Place: In Bed.
Time: Late
The Menu: Scallops sauteed in butter and ice wine with mushrooms and onion
Fresh asparagus lightly blanced with a homemade cheese sauce.
Fresh baked bread

And for dessert: A thick slice of New York Style Cheesecake with strawberry preserves.

Lets hear your favorites.

My personal favorite:

Place: centerfield of a highschool baseball diamond
Time: 1000pm, 4th of July

I took her to see the fireworks, this much she knew. But I had gone early and set up a picnic table in the middle of the field with candles and everything. I made a cold pasta salad.

I paid a friend's little brother $5 to sit with it and turn on the CD player under the table when we arrived.

Good times.

Went hiking on our first "all day" date to a lake and caught some fresh trout. I whipped out my fry pan, salt, pepper, butter and a bottle of wine. Threw some chopped mushrooms and the fish in the pan. She had no idea i packed all the stuff for a lakeside lunch.

Elk loin seared with bacon, a demi glaze made with Port and Veal stock with a little clove-- blanched baby carrots and roasted yukon gold potatoes rolled in fresh herbs.

-- for her 21st birthday, she was totally floored

i think i should open a resturant :-p

store bought vegetarian dumplings, followed by a full body olive oil message( iused almost the whole bottle) and nice music.. I just didnt have time for the fancy food thing and the message of olive oil and and butter were just cooking on that warm body of hers! damn... Sometimes simple food and an orgainzed surpise theme for my sweety are way more than enough, sometime I even have a surprise toy too.:D

i've never done a romantic thing, but i would think that something much like the baseball diamond would be great... now i just need to do it myself.. i am a nut for things like that!

Last bird was great, Sausages and Mash would do...

Best ever - McD's Chocolate Milkshake in bed ;)

Generally I prefer to go out to a good restaurant because I hate cookin' things for the first time for someone else. (Paranoid I'm gonna burn the croutons or somethin')

Candle light dinner, a loaf of french bread still warm from the oven with an herbed cream cheese spread, a fairly simple salad with a dressing made of balsamic, white wine vinegar, basil, olive oil, and rosemary. The basil and cracked pepper chicken served with alfredo sauce over fetuccini. After that, off to star gaze with a bottle of merlot. That was actually the night I asked her out... memories
