I've tried tasting them together. I think it's whichever you're used to. If I drank the Pepsi first and then the Coke, then the coke would taste strange and vice versa. So my theory is that they always have the taste testers drink the Pepsi first in thocse commercials.

If you're under the age of 20 in the U.S., you probably don't remember _real_ Coke: sweetened with cane sugar instead of corn sweeteners. It's noticeably different and better than what we have now -- has a sharp, clean sweetness that corn won't get you.
In Mexico they still use cane sugar in Coke, and every so often I'll pick up a few bottles of Mexican-bottled coke at a Latino grocery to taste Coke the way it was really meant to be. Other than that, it's Pepsi. |

I gave up caffeine back in '89 - so I don't drink either these days. But as a good Atlanta native, I've got to give the nod to Coke!
