Hazed & Confused sounds interesting.
I forgot about another faovite of mine, Hemp Ale! I have to be in the right mood for it but when I am, it is the best! |
Not really (at all) old enough to have my way with the brewpubs, but Allagash White is excellent. Guiness is really good, and I once tried some of a friend's Belgian, I think it was Alexander Rodenbach, which was amazing, although very fruity and cherry-flavored.
I like all stouts. I don't like Natural Lite. A guy here brews a garlic beer - not as bad as it sounds.
I'm not necessarily a beer conneseur, and seeing as I've yet to try most english brews, german ales/bachs and such, I can't say with a lot of certainty what my favorite would be. I do like Amber Bach/Ziegenbach, but I prefer Corona Extra with a lime wedge. Smooth, decent head, and much preferrable to any of the light beers or anything made by Anheiser-Busch Breweries.
Holsten Festbock, a tasty dessert beer, pretty strong with an almost coffee like taste to it.
Can't go wrong with Corona though either |
I don't really like beer, but I do like Bacardi silver O3.
They are really good. |
I love Corona Extra with lime.
Guiness also. but i can't believe that noone mentioned Fat Tire http://www.angelfire.com/tv2/stinkynutz/fattire2.jpg |
Australians drink more beer than the rest of the world combined and we forgot the question
Busch Light, Lone Star, ahh, im joking, i prefer coor's
Sam Adams
Pete's Wicked Stuttgarter Hof/cristal weizen Guiness <-----Beer Snob here |
I have to disargree with people saying that
German beer is the best. It is Belgium. Bar none. The little Flemish dudes got the secrets from the French about good wine and from the Germans, good beer. Put the ideas together and some cold weather and board monks and you have the best beer ever brewed.
The poor dutch seem to have gotten their skills from the english or something. Not so great. |
Tetley's or Bass Ale
I occasionally enjoy a local brew called Abita Turbo Dog, but I tend to like the dark imports like Guinness, rather than the domestic stuff.
Can't drink Coors. For some reason I get an instant headache from a few sips.
My desire for corporate responsibility switched my domestic choice from Coors heavy to Rolling Rock. I have strongly different than Coors. If I have the cash and it's on tap, I prefer a Guinness.
Alexander Keiths, Guinness, New Castle, hoegaarden. All great beers that have fueled great times!
In all depends... If I'm traveling and stop at a micro brew I'll try theirs.. And what I'm doing. hanging at the local bar or yard work its Bud.
Yes stinkynutz that is a good beer had it when I was in colorado. They don't have it here in Maine. Yet.
beer
My absolute favorite is ceres strong ale, but I've neve been able to find it outside of italy. Other than that, I'm a dark beer man, guiness, killian's Irish red, etc.
Mmmmm. Mmmmm. Beer. I love beers of all sorts, I brew beer as a pastime. I think one of the best beers you can buy today is a Bridgeport IPA. Especially if you can find it on tap. If you can't find any decent beers you can always go with the classic Guiness. Low in fat, but it fills you up, makes a good breakfast eh?

Fat Tire
Guinness Labatt Wildcat |
Nothing like a good old Traditional Ale from Big Rock.
Fat Tire is overrated. Although it is a good beer. I still think something with a bit more kick, either a Pale Ale or a Stout depending on whether you prefer the taste of hops or malt better. I say go all out either way.
I love Stella Artois but can no longer drink it as I usually wake with an ugly woman!
the ones i lick off of a hot girl
Leffe Brune/Blonde, Guinness, and Pete's!
even though Pete himself no longer is part of the company, their beer is still very good. rumor has it (well, not really rumor--Pete used to be my baseball coach and we still talk a lot) that he's working on chocolate now. |
For the summer it's Amsterdam Wheat beer on tap with a bit of lemon.
The best beer? FREE of course.
Sam Adams Boston Lager when its not. Henry Weinhart when I can find it. |
Mmmmmmm Boston Lager...
Sacramento Brewing Co. has an India Pale Ale to die for.
Bud if I'm having a lot, but for a few, a black and tan made with Guiness and Harp (or substitute Bass)
or, whatever is on special at the local bar !!! |
Nothing beats sipping a Kronenbourg 1664 in Paris. aw memories...
If you can get to Ireland, a pint of Guinness is your only man.
Tastes completely different here than anywhere else in the world and nobody knows why. Much more creamy and less bitter. A drink & a meal in one (or two or three or however many you are having yourself!) |
I'm getting fat, Bud Light for me
Timmy!!!
I like a Canadian beer (too bad because I live in the states and can't find any) called Alexander Keith's. Smoothest beer I've ever tasted. Second is a Guiness and then Rolling Rock.
Guinness and Heineken
...in that order. The two best beers in the world. Mr Mephisto |
La Chouffe Golden Style Belgian Ale
That's the bestest. |
carlsberg special brew
I proposed to my wife with a Guinness in my hand...she accepted with one in hers. Pulled properly too..from an Irish pro in a Manhattan pub.
I also love a little Quebec brew called Maudite. Man is that a quality beverage. It even has a little vegimite lingering in the bottom of the bottle when your done. -bear |
Tied House Amber
I think it would be Killkeny with a distant second being my own home-made beer (i wish I had my buddies beer-fridge and CO2-keg combo for home-made filtered perfectly clear crisp and cold CHEAP lager!)
I like Guinness, though it took a bit of getting used to at first.
Sam Adams despite the lamest beer commercials ever
Moosehead is my favorite, and Fat Tire is great too.
Sapporo
Failing a bar's lack of intelligence in selecting the finest import available, I go towards the second. Stella Artois Failing that wisest of wise choices, Bass Ale Failing that... Water. |
Really depends what I am in the mood for. I guess I am pretty fickle. Generally pick Newcastle or Bass, although there are times that I would prefer a Guinness and others where something lighter is preferable.
I like all different types of beer. I usually try to drink local beers when they are available. I mostly like dark beers and pale ales. I think the last beers I had were Breckenridge Pale Ale and Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. Guinness is also a favorite....
While spending a week in Brussels last year, I did my best to sample all 200 or so breweries (not lables... breweries for Pete's sake! )
Chimay Red may be the finest beer ever, closely followed by Grimbergen Double. Unfortunately, when you can get Chimay in the States 1- it's about $8.00/bottle and 2- it's usually stale... |
root beer baby!!
Blue Heron - because i love hops
Red Stripe - Because i want to have fun Warstiener - because life is too short ;) Wexford - because i like to celebrate Pacifico - because i like nachoes |

just getting up to go buy some Keiths India Pale Ale and i will never turn down a Moosehead when one is offered. A few years ago while in Bar Harbour Maine, my wife and I enjoyed a nice blond ale called Thunderhole. It was from a local microbrewery I think ---- quite tasty.
I'd just like to say...
"Heineken? Fuck that shit! PABST BLUE RIBBON!" Actually, I usually drink Bud Light. I enjoy a good Michelob Golden Light if I can get my hands on it, but they don't sell it here in Iowa. Yeah, I drink tame beer I know. I usually drink gin though. |
Coopers Pale Ale.......... good south aussie beer...... I have been able to by it in Baltimore when I was there about 7 years ago. If you ever find it, you gotta try it. Green label, cant miss it.
COLD BEER! But a good german beer...Spaten Premium..Now that's a great beer....
Corona in the summer months
Dos Equis in Mexico Heineken when out with friends Molson Canadian any other time Just tried Black Sheep Ale - brewed in Marsham, North Yorkshire...nice, but pretty pricy as an import |
Corona wit slice of lime in the neck
heineken is my long time favorite even tho my hubby calls it "weasal piss"
i'll drink most any lager tho if it's free  |
I enjoy a Guinness now and again, but the home brew that I make myself has always been far better than anything you can get at the store.
i'n belgium we have the choice of over 350 local beers.
imho Duvel is the very best !!! don't visit belgium without trying it !! http://www.duvel.com/images/duvelglas3.png |
I have to submit my own homebrewed variety as my favorite - Bwana Butt Brew.
I like Keith's or Canadian. Used to drink stuff called 1749 it was a stone fired ale... yummy but filling.
Moosehead, Alexander Keith's India Pale Ale, Stella Artois, Brick
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
I love Becks Dark. Oh thats like my beer. I've been in search of one that taste similar. I love German beer. Hope to visit and go on a beer safari some day.
Coopers Pale Ale.
It's and Australian beer. |
I like Guiness, Sam Adams, Gordon Biersch, Pyramid...
Although I think I'm on a red wine kick right now. |
Im actually on a Crimson Voodoo kick right now. Its an evol red brewed in New Orleans.
Corona!
Cobait60: Becks dark is my all time favorite beer. And I am happy to say they got becks octoberfest coming out soon.
Depending on my mood, I'm either a Molson Export, Sapporo, or Sleeman Cream Ale kind of guy.
Guinness and Guinness Cold (available only in the UK)
i've been drinking the best cheap beer ever for years,
yeungling i'm glad it spread out the last few years i remember taking cases of yeungling back to college from home my freshman year when they didn't sell it there, but they got it my soph year, so i introduced some people to its affordable goodness |
moosehead and marca bavaria are pretty damn tasty
anything free is good too! |
I definitely agree that the best brewing style is from Belgium.
Faves are Duvel, Chimay, Fischer (French actually), Unibroue from Quebec. I also really like Sam Smith's, especially the Nut Brown Ale. Sam Adams is the most overrated POS on the market. Simply making a bitter beer doesn't make it authentic IMO. The hot summer day beer is Blanche de Chambly, a wheat beer by Unibroue. If you enjoy Maudite & Fin du Monde, try "11". Wow. I also tried & liked a couple from another Montreal brewery, McAuslan I think, which were very tasty. Can't find it anywhere though. |
well, since im in college my everyday beer is good ole Busch Lite, $10.79 for a 30 pack of cans. but when i'm wanting to get a better beer, ive been hooked on Pacifico, damn good beer out of the longneck on ice.
I know its not very exotic But I drink mainly tooheys extra dry's. If I have a little extra money I buy Hahn Premium
The dark beers.... "A Guinness a day keeps the doctor away".
And there's a local beer here called Turbinenbräu Start which is really nice. Actually, I think part of the point and fun of drinking beer is the variety you get. Just like with wine. |
i'm a big fan of stouts. my first choice is always guinness.
VB- Victoria Bitter
Favorite beer: free and cold
miller light....im a n00b
Okanogan spring extra pale ale
Canadian
BELLS BEER FROM KALAMAZOO!!! I swear this is the best microbrew you will ever have. The Bells Oberon is their summer brew, and it has about a 9 % alcohol content. Its a little darker, but if you ever get the chance to taste this beer, go for it!!
Golden Export at Gordon Birch. It's rad. But only from the tap, not so much from the bottles at the store.
Sierra Nevada is a damn fine beer. I like 'em hoppy.
